Gintarou awkwardly lowers the polearm by which he was about to fix Mist. "So… you're okay? Just receiving another message from the Oarsman? " He follows the warlock just like the others.
The warrior's eyes are immediately attached to the great oar. He already has a magical greatsword. But the weapon will be broken into dust if he uses it in daylight. And he prefers polearms. " Mist, can you ask the Oarsman if I can borrow his property? I know he doesn't like me for some reason but I would be useful in an upcoming battle with the one eye giant. "
The little man (now at eye level) stops stares into space again.
"Hm? You say summut, Bigm'n?" he asks, eyes focusing again.
"Was distracted by the voice again. It really is maddening when you all talk over each other."
He looks at the object he just picked up and grimaces before turning and holding the large oar out to Gintarou.
"The bleedin' thing's got a blade on it! I just thought it could help us get our boat home faster. You take it. I got no need for big sticks or knives or big sticks that are also knives." He keeps muttering under his breath as he descends the stairs and heads back outside.
Druquilla just meets Aubric's look with one of her own, rolls her eyes, and gives as shrug before following the others.
Seeing the odd bladed oar Druquilla remarks, "A little odd adding a blade to an oar but I guess its within theme for the Oarsman or one of his followers."
"Wow! Wow! A hundred thanks, the Oarsman! " Gintarou takes the black oar with great excitement. He does a couple of trial swings. The oar fits his hand as if it was made for him. Gintarou doesn't understand magic. He has no idea what godhood is. But there are things he never makes mistakes. This weapon is beautiful and it can kill.
Mist waits impatiently at the entrance. He leans his head back in and shouts, "My new toy can take us higher on the Spire if you're all quite finished talking about perished pets and dolphin-decapitating-dinghy-drivers." He comically taps his huge, cloudy foot as he waits.
Druquilla makes her way to the hole in the wall here the compass had pointed, "This is the way the compass was pointing so I feel this is the way we should go."
Druquilla pokes her head out of the hole and glaces around to see what is out there.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
" … The stone should be out there." Gintarou follows Druquilla and looks into the hole on the wall. " And the Cyclops can mold the earth like clay… Mist. your little demon can fly right? Can you send him to scout? I feel something is hidden in that fog. "
(I did a bad job painting the picture) The cloud out of the window climbs up like a hill for a bit, looking at more you can see that it leads to the top of the spire. The spire is unmistakably broken, and has been for a long time. Its peak is jagged and crumbling. It's clear at a glance there is no truth to the legend. Miles of open sky filled with clouds hangs over head, far from the broken stump.
The cloud is littered with stone chips and fragments of broken statues. The characters are easily able to identify a variety of stone hands, feet, and even heads of humanoids. (If you want more info make an (Investigation check DC 11.)
A large pile of statues rests an area ahead of you, waiting to be refined into bricks. A cloud golem works ploddingly in the area, dragging statues away from the pile and breaking them down into bricks. When you arrive the golem has just finished breaking down one of the statues.
The golem is slow and methodical in its task, laboriously gathering all the pieces of stone before climbing up the slope of broad, step-like stones to the area above.
When they arrived at the strange quarry, Gintarou lost his word for a while. " … Looks like we have to tell the bad news to the priestess." He feels the flame of anger burning in his guts." Let's follow the golem. I got something to tell the Cyclops"
Aubric exchanges looks with his other companions as Mist moves past to the door before following the halfling.
On your way out there is a large black oar, the edge of the oar head has a shinny tint to it.

Mist pauses to regard the oar for a moment before grabbing it with the golems large hand and heading back downstairs with the paddle in tow.

You see clouds, just like the ones that you were able to walk on before. Do you step out?

Still apprehensive about walking on clouds Druquilla takes an arrow from her quiver and shoots it at the cloud in order to test how solid it is.
The arrow sticks into the cloud, as if you shot it into sand.

following Dru and Gin out onto the cloud Aubric is again lost in amazement that there is another world above the clouds they see from below.
