-roll a general d20 for the gambling luck, then roll a d4 for the gold. "DC" <6 you lose the d4+2 gold, 6-10 you lose the d4, 11-15you win the d4 in gold, and >15 you win 1d4+2.
- roll a Charisma check to see how flerting with Lalia works out.
- roll a stealth check to see if you can avoid Govenal, or if he notices you trying to avoid him.
Kraven make an intelligence check for me, lets see how much you learned.
As you continue to sail one day while Kraven is sitting in the crows nest he sees something and points it out, well it's two somethings. First is a small flat island, second is a strange coconut bobbing with the waves, after a look with a spy glass you can see what can only be described as mast and sail. This coconut is moving in the direction of the ship.
Yes you did. Mist you lost 2 gold while gambling with the crew, however everyone is happy to let you play with them again in the future. Lalia does not reject your advances but she does not reciricate. She does seem willing to spend time with you but nothing big. (I will send you some more information that you would have learned while spending time with her.) Much let alone does Govenal notice you, he notices you trying to avoid him, and he goes out of his way to talk with you about Dreor the Red. (again more info will be sent to you.)
Aubric spends a good bit of time on deck practicing his forms with his sword. He will also be reading thru the books he's brought with him learning a few new spells.(lvl up lol)
Druquilla spends her time split between fishing, listening to Gorvenal to learn what she can from the old man, and helping around the ship whenever needed. Aside from that she just enjoys the salted sea air and the rhythmic motion of the ship on the water.
Mist spends down time swimming laps around the ship with Lalia (and Druquilla if she joins), but the lack of reciprocity doesn't deter him from a daily string of the worst pickup lines you've ever heard. Not being overly problematic or pressing beyond the corny lines, hoping for a laugh, but obnoxiously persistent if it continues without rebuke.
When confronted by Govenol over a meal, Mist just freezes until it's awkward, bite halfway into his mouth. "T' tell yeh the truth, Gor, I've only been keepin' an eye out t' stay out o' your way. Dunno if anyone's told yeh b'fore, but you're kinda scary... Fighter's gonna fight an' all that, but a grizzled, war-hardened soul who prays to the war god? 'S a bit offputtin' to soft, cultured folk like m'self... So I try t' give a wide berth is all."
Mist will also keep an eye on Aubric and try to sneak a peek at any of his books he can get his grubby little hands on. He's curious about a source of magic that isn't tied to another being, whether deity or otherwise. (just trying to narratively justify taking the magic initiate feat)
He'll also (also) try to conscript Gintarou at some point and search the ship's hold for an empty barrel (or one he doesn't feel badly about emptying) to fill it with seawater. "...and ya jus' trow it in the ol' bag of holding and tadaaaaa... A portable, not-potable supply o' Mis'tuv's Magic Go-Go-Juice! Ya see, Mr. Errsm'n told me it's got healing properties or summat. Uh... For me, that is. We just didn't have any around whilst galumphing on that infernal Giant's Spur to test it out. Now I jus' need to find a flask or summat to carry on my person. Maybe the next stop'll have a shop nearby."
Kraven tries his best to listen to the sailors directions, but everything about sailing is just so distracting, he can't keep anything straight. At least up in the crows nest is something he is good at.
After staring at something in the water for several minutes he notices it is moving towards the ship and makes note of it to the rest of the crew and party. There also seems to be a small island out there that might have fresh supplies on it.
Gintarou practiced the staff of the giant when he didn't have any work to do. The warrior asked crews (mostly Ronald ) to train him to perfect his move and form.
@ Mist
When Mist comes and tells him about the new business, Gintarou frowns and says. " I don't know, Mist. Your plan sounds good. But are you sure that seawater potion would still work after we leave that island? We already have incured pirates' hatred and possibly dragon's. If this small business goes wrong, the guards will join the list. Do you think the risk is worth… wait… a barrel and seawater…" Gintarou stops fixing the sail and thinks. " If we put a barrel filled with sea water into the Bag of Holdings, then give the bag to … for your little demon, let him turn invisible and drop the barrel on enemy's head, what will happen?"
Gintarou make a Melee attack and damage role. I need to know if you took the star fragment out and put into the compass yet, once I know this I will make the weapon and put it in your inventory.
Druquilla you Catch a few stripped mullets and a lot of grey tiger fish.
Mist waves a hand dismissively. "There's really only one way to find out. We'll have to try it next time I'm injured!"
See PM re: mechanics and guards, etc.
Looking up to Kraven in the crow's nest, Mist shouts back, "A WHAT? A coconut ship?? This I've got to see!" He promptly dives off the side of the ship and begins to swim in the direction indicated.
Kraven just interacts with the crew and helps out wherever he might be needed, attempting to learn how to actually sail this thing.
