Having decided not to eat any of the food, Varlan stands and walks over to the strange insect, whispering. "The wonders of your land are strange to me...have you ever heard of such of this?" he waves his arms to encompass the hall.
Kuatho leans back toward Varlan and says “No, this is all new to me. There is nothing like this among our people. Is this…” he looks around, “normal… with traveling long distances?” His antennae are moving around like mad, on high alert.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Varlan slowly shakes his head, "'Normal' does not really describe this place. I've done my share of travel, and never seen its like. No..." he looks around at the food and shelves and walls, "...no...this is some great arcane working, the likes of which I have only read about." His eyes come to rest on Mist, 'Even what I have read only covers the smallest part of what happened to us. We are caught up in the machinations of some great power, I fear."
He shrugs, "I had hoped you might have an inkling of who or what that power might be."
Mist chuckles and returns the Archimandrite's gaze, unblinking. "As I said, it's been quite profitable. Imagine it would continue to be so if we still had it... I don't care one lick for your sky rocks or whatnot, but I'm terrible partial to the gold it brings in."
He sits forward and leans toward the elf, eyes narrowing slightly. "What's your name anyway, Yer Archiness?"
Vlar sees nothing much is happening here, the other ship's crew are getting killed as they search for an exit, and the discussion is pretty much at a standstill. He rises from his seat and moves to a clearer section of the room. There he starts to ritually cast a spell... detect magic
The books necromancy, Sconces illusion, and organ illusion. The undead walls are also clearly magical as well.
"Well questions asked, answers not being given I guess all that's left is to find our way out of hear."
The last Blackrift sailor sits down at the organ. Kraven you watch as he mimics the keys as they move for a short time, then he presses all his fingers down on keys at once. And the organ let's out a thunderous blast, sending the last sailor into the table and he goes limp.
With a bright flash, a new figure teleports into an open seat.
Shrouded in black silks and wearing a tilted emerald crown, his eyeless skull turns and observes each of the characters. He speaks with a changing voice going from deep, dark and grim to wild and manic, with bursts of laugher mixed in.
“Welcome, my new honored guests (laughter), to my charming home. I’m the master of the Leviathan, but please, call me Kalvikodas. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as my previous guests.(laughter)"
At the mention of the newcomer's name all smug pretense dissolves from Mist's face. His eyes briefly grow wide before narrowing to slits. Standing to his feet, he crosses his arms and addresses their host.
"Kalvikodas, eh? So you're the sorry sandbagin' scallywag what's shanghaied us in yer sickly skin-covered salle a manger. A master, ya say? Don't seem so much a master as a meddler! Let us out or so help me... I'll 'ave these here fine folks beat the stuffin' outta yis!"
"(Laughter) Yes that would be fun." Kalvikodas gestures broadly at the books lining the room as he continues to talk. "Your ships are safe, in Leviathan’s gullet where they, along with the rest of their crews, will be kept for study. (laughter). I have an opportunity for you to serve. All you have to do is agree to drink from a vial of poison, (laughter) which will grant youa quick, painless death. In exchange, your souls will be added to my collection in the Library of Souls. (laughter)."
(Is Kalvikodas waving around a vial of this poison? If Vlar verifies that the vial of poison is not magical, Jacob is willing to chug the vial... after casting Purify Food and Drink .)

"Fat chance, Kalvin," Mist retorts. "How's about we just start blastin' our way out o' your blubbery buffet? Your dermal dining room... Your commissary of corium... Your melanated mess hall... Your skin-covered snack bar!"
To emphasize his non-compliance, he fires off a pair of blasts at the wall directly behind Kalvikodas which impact in time as he says his final two words.
The Archimandrite seizes the moment to attack, rising from his seat and unleashing a bolt of lightning at the lich. However, the spell is harmlessly deflected by Kalvikodas. In an unimpressed tone He asks "Do you not know (laughter into a deeper darker voice) HOW POWERFUL I AM?" he then puts his attention fully on Archimandrite Kalvikodas reaches out his hand and the necrotic green energy comes from his hand to the Archminandrute, then to Mist. Both become Paralyz "Any other questions?"
