"We really are sorry for bothering you,"Gale adds on. She keeps one eye on the goliath coming over, and tries to get a read on both men - are they getting at all frustrated or impatient with the refusals?

The goliath reaches the wagon. He has a stern expression and a sneer.
"The wagon is empty," the goliath says on a booming voice. "Why do you linger. Let them pass. Another wagon approaches," he adds gesturing to the road.
As he's speaking another cart begins to approach from the direction of Ararosa. It's laden with goods and clinks along as it rumbles towards the party. The bald man's attention flickers to the new comers but their silly about 60ft off.
OOC: in future separate rolls please. I don't like the algorithm they use to combine dice for ad/da.

Sef looks over at Gale, still pausing at the side of the cart. "We ready to get on our way?" But he then looks over towards the approaching cart. "Maybe though we should say hello to these fellow travelers. See if they have any news about the road ahead." He then looks to the bald man and the Goliath in turn. "We've heard rumors of bandits on the road. Perhaps they might have seen or heard something."
”Um perhaps by chance have you seen or heard anything about that?” Malcom asks the men. “Surely it can’t be safe to fish out here in such an allegedly dangerous area....” he then trails off before laughing quietly. “I’m sure of course you folks can um handle yourselves, y’know.”
"Danger is a matter of perspective," the bald man says with a smirk. "As for the bandits...., " he pauses and sighs, "you could say we've heard of them," he adds gesturing to the goliath to back off as the party Sef saw in the woods walk out on to the road making the wagon pause in its tracks 60ft ahead. "Move on and mind your own business if you know what's good for you," he grumbles stalking away from the party towards the road. "That package of yours is no longer of interest," he calls over his shoulder as the raven reappears landing on his shoulder.

Once the man is out of earshot, Gale turns to Sef and Malcom and mutters, "Are we going for this now? We'll be outnumbered, and there'll be civilians in the way, but we might not get another chance with them all out in the open." She cranes her neck to try and get a better look at the party in the distance and assess their numbers and what type of weapons they carry so they can strategize better.
Gale counts 3 figures coming out of the tree line along with the two that are walking towards the merchant wagon in the distance. The wagon has two visible figures in the seat up front. The wagon is laden with goods. The two men in the wagon seem armed but the 3 figures that stopped the wagon and the two men on wagon seem to be conversing.

Malcom would then motion to the others to continue closer towards the other cart. Best to stop anything before the bandits make a move for the merchants.
"Why don't we take the cart? Then they will think we're 'minding our own business' a bit longer." Sef pulls himself quickly into the cart, moving up front to get the horse moving as soon as the others respond.
Gale nods, opting to walk next to the cart on the side closer to the center of the road. She attaches her shield to her forearm and her hammer to her belt so it's easily accessible, but keeps her hands at her sides in a nonthreatening pose."The folks in the other cart have weapons. We might convince them to aid us,"she tells the others quietly as they make their way towards the other cart.
As the party approaches the other cart they can see the two men driving the cart are sitting as the group of five are going through the cart.
OOC: Are you guys passing for stoping?

As they approach, Sef quietly says to the others, "Why don't you guys talk to the men from the cart." Then, once his cart is directly alongside the other, he pulls the horse to a stop. Quickly he slips off the cart to the opposite side of the other. He crouches down trying to keep mostly out of sight. (Stealth: 24). He then tries to see what exactly the group of five are up to. (Perception: 25)
Sef is clearly visible as he exits the cart and crouches beside it. He can see the men on the cart are sitting quietly as other five are sorting through the cart. They are removing goods and setting them on the road. The goods look like regular items like food and gear.
OOC: Set insight check for the cart drivers.

As they pass by the other cart, Gale makes eye contact with one of the drivers. “Need any help?”She keeps her tome casual and doesn’t break eye contact, tilting her head towards the bandits unloading the vehicle to indicate the problem. If the driver refuses, she tries to judge whether it’s out of fear or confidence.
Sef reads on and the man seems quiet he doesn't speak and only stares ahead.
Gale reads the other man who seems afraid but just gestures for the party to pass by his expression barely composed from frantic.
"I thought we'd agreed you lot were going to mind your own business," the bald man calls out to the party as the goliath holding his large maul steps into the road just in front of the horse pulling the party's wagon. He then grabs the reigns of the hose to halt the wagon. "You going to be a problem now," he asks his gold canine teeth again glinting in the sunlight.
