The tiefling goes after the goliath. The goliath attacked and stayed put ending his turn still at E9 (becuz I forgot column D). The tiefling casted on Gale then BA'd disengaged away to C3. 

OOC: 16 wasn't good enough to hide from someone activity tracking you to attack. The bowman had eyes on you. He then stepped over 5ft and fired at you visible by the tree. It's under the tree bows @E12 FYI not behind it. Maybe if the attacker was airborne.

Round 5

Sef is up.

Gale prepare.

(OOC: Assume we are skipping Malcom)

Sef turns to aim his short bow at one of the bandits. (B1)  He switches his Insightful Fighting towards that target. (Insight: 23 - contest by target's Deception) 

He then fires an arrow at the bandit (B1 - Attack: 22, damage: 7. if Insightful Fighting is successful added Sneak Attack Damage: 8)

Sef then moves to A15 keeping cover as best he can behind the tree.

Malcom’s eyes and ring again begin to glow as he murmurs several words under his breath. He then looks to the three bandits, casting sleep.

Starting with the now one of the two I believe with the least hp, subtract this from their current hit points. If it reaches zero, they become unconscious, and move on to the bandit with the next highest hp and repeat the same pattern. If it does not reduce them to zero, the spell has no effect.

Malcom will also stay put at D16 hiding behind the wagon. 

The spiritual weapon moves 20 ft to C14 but isn't in range to attack anything.

Gale moves 25 ft to F9 and casts toll the dead on the tiefling. She then moves 5 ft back to F10.

Tiefling must make a DC 13 wisdom save or take 9 necrotic damage.

At the end of her turn, she has 7 temporary hit points.

(Twilight sanctuary: 7 turns left (I believe Sef and Malcom are both unfortunately out of range now that she's moved). Spiritual weapon: 5 turns left

Both the remaining crossbow wielding bandits drop unconscious having passed out due to Malcom's spell.

Tiefling wiz save 9; the tiefling growls at Gale.

The goliath then moves again towards the tiefling still dumbly attacking him.

Attack: 19 Damage: 13

Tiefling exclaims with frustration with the blow.

"You all are useless," the tieflings shouts before disengaging with the goliath then disappearing from view.

The party's magic users are unclear if he cast something but he's vanished from the field. With the tiefling gone it leaves the goliath the last combatant standing.

Malcom is up.

Round 6

Sef prepare.

Malcom looks towards the Goliath expectantly. Once the tiefling disappeared, did he seem to stop following the suggestion spell in any perceptible way?

Then he moves to F16 or around that area to retrieve the dagger he threw. He grabs one of the nearby unconscious bodies (careful not to wake it up), and will hold the dagger near to the bandit’s throat. 

“Come out, come out wherever you are!” Malcom yells to the air. Not sure if the tiefling is listening or even nearby anymore. “You’re all alone and there’s no point in running. Surrender peacefully and your accomplices won’t die.” He calls out menacingly.

(Not sure what you want) Deception/Persuasion/(subtract two for intimidation): 18

(Also, I realize technically we are still in combat and understand if that action was longer that the time period Malcom would have had time to act. I’m happy to change it if need be. Just let me know.)

OOC: 6 seconds my friend movement, 1 action, and 1 BA. You could move and perceive the goliath as you action or make the move towards the sleeping person but your PC picking them up and holding a knife to their throat would wake them as its a hostile action. It's not like they're drugged, they're asleep. You could not touch them and try the threat. You'd have disadvantage on persuasion too the tiefling is hostile towards your PC. It's up to you if your deceiving or intimidating him.

((Sounds good. I guess my thinking was a f the Goliath was still non-hostile that there might be a momentary pause in initiative)

Sef turns from the now unconscious bandits and moves towards Gale. (30 ft. to E12)  "Should we try and take down the Goliath or just let him keep after the Tiefling?"  

He then readies an arrow with his shortbow, studying the Goliath (Insightful Fighting - Insight: 25 vs. Goliath's Deception roll.) 

He takes aim, preparing to fire at the Goliath. (READY action - if a party member agrees to attack or if Sef sees the Goliath turn back towards the group he will Attack: 19, damage: 4, If Insightful Fighting is successful, Sneak Attack damage: 9) 

OOC: The goliath was just told to put you down then incapacitate the tiefling. Your PC didn't cast friends. The goliath is no longer able to see the tiefling is going after his original targets, the party.

NPCs prepares

(I don't think it was specified where exactly the goliath moved to, but I believe it was somewhere around C4? He should be within 60 feet of Gale's current location of F10 but if not let me know.)

The spiritual weapon stays put, still unable to attack anything but ready in case a target comes too close.

Gale casts toll the dead again, this time targeting the goliath, then moves backwards 15 ft to G12.

Goliath must make a DC 13 wisdom save or take 10 damage.

Temporary hit points at the end of her turn: 5

Goliath wiz save 1; goliath is dead (or unconscious)

The tiefling is still invisible. Possibly has fled but the party doesn't know. There are four unconscious bandits awaiting their decision on how best to collect them up to transport for their bounty.

Once the Goliath is down, Sef looks to Gale. "Did anyone see where that tiefling went? Guess we should shackle these four and get them in the cart while keeping an eye out."  He barely pauses for a breath as he starts towards the Goliath. "Oh, are you all ok? I was a bit worried there for a moment.  Wow! It seemed like nothing phased that tiefling - at least until Gale hit it with some of her magic."  

“Yes... the tiefling was surprisingly hardy. I was scared for a time too when the Goliath grabbed me. I... had to use magic, but hopefully... hopefully that won’t be a problem.” Malcom adds, breathing heavily, and wiping sweat from his brow. 

”Yep, let’s go ahead and shackle the bandits though. Be careful because they’re really just sleeping... I’m not entirely sure what the best approach might be.”

Then, finally he asks. “Is it worth it to go after the tiefling? What do y’all wanna do?”

Lastly, he would look over to the merchants. Do they seem alright? Where are they? Etc. 

(Gale would have knocked the Goliath unconscious, not killed him.)

”I don’t know whether he teleported away or turned invisible. I only have energy for one powerful spell left - I could either heal all of us or cast something that would let me see if he is invisible and still lingering.” Gale looks to the others, waiting for their response. Her first priority is making sure they’re safe, but if they’re feeling okay she’d be interested to know what happened to the tiefling.

Reaching the Goliath,  Sef would grab one of the sets of shackles to restrain the large man.  He talks as he works. "I probably should see to my wounds soon, but if the Tiefling is lurking about it would be good to know."
