Guys, This name...it’s an sounds Like old Dragon name I vaguely remember. Notian gets very excited all of a sudden...Oh man! Maybe we’ll get to kill it like Ian killed Croyovain and saved the town of phandalyn... he looks into the distance as if he mind has completely wandered off into dreams of heroism and adventure.
"Ashardalon..." Foxford repeats the name and stared at the runes, committing them to his memory as best he could. "I do not know that word"
Foxford had always felt drawn to runes, he knew they held incredible power in the past, and still now in the present could hold that same power. He hoped to one day find a rune to enhance his own abilities.
After a moment Notian remembers where he is and sets his mind back to reality. He runs his hands together and speaks to the group “Let me brighten up everyone’s day once more” and casts dancing lights, four torches that move into the corridor lighting it up with the furthest 60ft ahead and the others 20ft behind the others.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Carric eyes shine as he watches the dancing lights move into the corridor. A slight smile of wonder comes to his face.
"I am rather quiet and see well in dim light,"he says. "I can walk a few steps ahead of you, if that would be helpful."If there are no objections, Carric will move a short distance ahead, trying to keep quiet and to see what he can see.
"I'll take the next position in line, as I am rather large, and have this massive axe" Foxford takes the second position in the marching order, giving Carric enough space out ahead to scout.
"I am happy to follow behind you all, I will keep watch in case anything decides to creep up behind us. And thank you for the light Notion, I do not see well in the dark"
"Foxford!" 13 shouts ahead. "I would like to take a look at your axe when we get a quiet moment. I am very fond of weapons and it looks like a fine one indeed"
Then he realises in his excitement that the rest of the party are trying to remain quiet, so he does the same whilst glancing regularly over his shoulder.
Notian's summoned orbs light up the corridor as if it were bright daylight, and you can all see that the stone relief-carved southern door portrays a dragon-like fish swimming. The other two doors, north and west, are plain wood.
@Carric:
Advancing up the corridor, your keen hearing picks up the faint sound of sobbing. It appears to originate from the other side of the western door; you discern no sound from the north or south.
Carric raises a hand back toward the others and cocks his head toward the western door. A pensive, somewhat sad look comes to his face.
He takes a few steps back to the others. "Behind that door, someone weeps. We should see if we can provide help," he says in a slightly hushed voice as he points to the door on the western wall. "I heard nothing else."
"Yes, we should, unless of course it is a trick?" Eerie pipes up. "But we should." She scoops up a few pebbles from the ground moves them about in her hands murmuring until three take on a soft glow. magic stone looking back at other two shrugging - "just in case.." Nodding towards her hand.
"Draconic runes they were then.." She asks quietly to Notian. "And that's good?"
“It depends on your perspective... from my teachings Any time a Dragons name is mentioned, a great battle won’t be far away, and that’s great..if your on the winning side...”
Foxford glanced back at 13 and gave a nod and a grin in agreeance, it was a nice axe. When Carric mentions someone weeping behind the door Foxford does kind of a sideways glance, "I'm not great with crying"
13 shakes his head disapprovingly at Notion's bold move, knowing that he seems quite squishy. But also silently commends his bravery......or his stupidity, he's still not sure.
Carric nimbly moves aside as the bard opens the door. He is curious to find the source of the weeping and ready to help out the poor soul, but he too is somewhat surprised at the lack of caution. He is ready to move in--or to react to whatever may happen--bouncing slightly on the balls of his feet.

@Notian:
There is nothing in the book, but it sounds like an old dragon name

sorry, can't post until this evening - out of town for work. Pacific USA time)
Let’s pop Eerie in the middle ,then me and 13 at the back? From an acoustics point of view it works best, which I guess is the most important thing.

“I’m great with crying, it’s weird when I play my songs a lot of people like to cry along with them! Allow me to speak with our mystery guest.
”what troubles you, my friend and what brings you here. Can we help you at all? “
(Does this mean you are opening the western door and entering?)
Absolutely and without a care in the world or any checking for traps.
OOC: As it should be, SKOL!
