I used to love playing in the clay on the south bank of the river Artharax in the bend near my uncle’s house, that is, until it was all destroyed by the MarcLethons in their bid to control the entire river valley for their ranching interests and mining consortium. Me and some of the others made a go of trying to defend our homes, roughing it in the nearby mountains and mounting hit-and-run raids against the MarcLethons and their allies. But ultimately we were all either killed or forced out one by one, and now I wander and wonder what might have been while I ply my skills with a group of able adventurers.
I was born on a cloudless night under the solo gaze of Nuitari, the black moon. By the age of five I had demonstrated both a talent for the arcane and complete ineptitude of bow or sword or nature's gift. A centaur who is neither warrior nor druid has no place among the herd, so I was sent to the Mages of High Sorcery to see if they could find a use for me.
I used to find work as a grave-digger but found I was more adept at cremations than burials but my chosen vocation changed when I found a mysterious book in one of the crypts and accidentally unleashed something called a Pyre-giest. I Fled town as the Pyre-giest burned everything it came into contact with and vowed to find a way to understand these strange creature and other types of undead. Now I roam the world as a Necromancer trying to find undead and lay them to rest.
*I don't think a Pyre-giest is a thing but I have been thinking about a fire based version of a poltergiest and this prompted the above backstory for a more goodly necormancer wandering around the world.
Your fledgling Anti-Necro can call it whatever they want, but you're probably looking at a Flameskull

It could of been a Flameskull but I was thiniking maybe more towards a ghost bound to a source of fire and uses control flames, create bonfire and possibly pyrotechnics to sow panic and confusion. It was onyl a rough idea for a creature but who knows what other DM's might come up with, an Undead Fire elemental might also work as well.

Once, a powerful god with uncountable worshippers and fame. Now, stripped of divinity and reduced to a mere mortal by an unknown force. In order for me to escape this mortal realm and regain my eternal glory, I must first search for the ones who have done me wrong and unleash my fury on them.
By day I pretended to be what everyone expected me to be, a Don’s dandy son, a fop, a socialite. By night I ride the ranches on my horse tornado, or take to the rooftops with my trusty rapier, and seek justice on those who wrong the people of my city. They call me, The Black Fox!
I came from a family that valued wealth over lives, and they didn’t hide it. Now I’m seeking to put a stop to my family’s business, one snarky sabotage at a time, surviving surly scum bags sly assaults on my selfless life. If you can’t tell already, I seriously like the letter S.

Inspired by the latest season of Dimension 20: Fantasy High... it's time to play Guess the Movie Character I've Turned Into a PC!
(College of Eloquence bard / Artillerist artificer)
My family moved around a lot when I was younger, and I mostly learned to keep my head down and my nose out of trouble while my father tried to change the system from within. Trouble found me in the last town we were in though, and I got a taste of the adrenaline rush that comes with inspiring a bunch of downtrodden kids, and overthrowing a corrupt regime. Now I'm going to use my talent for talking hard, and my homemade amplification rig, to take down tyrants whoever and wherever they are
It's time to play... Guess the TV Character I've Turned Into a PC!
(Artillerist artificer with the Failed Merchant background from AcqInc)
For years I tried to make a living as a humble vendor of vegetables, only for my produce to be destroyed time and again as war swept the Four Nations and I found myself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Finally I realized it wasn't just bad luck, but a plot targeting me personally like I was the butt of some cosmic joke, and I vowed revenge. Now my cart has undergone some... upgrades using scavenged Fire Nation tech, and anyone who messes with me is going to get a face full of exploding cabbage
Last week's answer: Mark Hunter/Hard Harry, Christian Slater's character from Pump Up the Volume
Carric Aquissar, elven wannabe artist in his deconstructionist period (Archfey warlock) Lan Kidogo, mapach archaeologist and treasure hunter (Knowledge cleric) Mardan Ferres, elven private investigator obsessed with that one unsolved murder (Assassin rogue) Xhekhetiel, halfling survivor of a Betrayer Gods cult (Runechild sorcerer/fighter)

A small myconid had life breathed into him and a mysterious sword placed into this hand by a god. He was tasked to protect the weak, but now he looks simply to defeat those who are strong.
I'd always heard that my home village had something of a sordid history, but none of the rumors mentioned what was buried under the schoolhouse, or hinted at what might have caused it to awaken that awful morning.
When I came to, I was somehow the only survivor from my class, but the souls of all my classmates clung to me like burrs, desperately denying their deaths or simply unaware they'd passed on.
Now I wear the mantle of an adventurer as I try to find some answers for what happened that day, and when I can I find, err, temporary homes for my friends, even if just to reduce the volume on the constant chatter in my head.

I can’t thank o’ a time when me an' my pap warn’t vampire hun’ers. We ain’t afeared o’ no haints an' I staked my first bloodsucking booger before I was big enough for britches. I once served as a Hunt Master to the Grand Vizier Ermergurd III and tended the royal zoo and procured beasts for his great hunting expeditions in the wilds. That was long ago and I died a tired old codger but was rewarded for my years of service by being interred with much pomp and ceremony and no little adoration. I woke from my slumber after the tomb that housed my corpse was defiled by robbers and now I feel a need to hunt once more and locate these interlopers who distrubed my rest.

“A wizard in a town that exiled and killed all people that even dared to try magic, that was me.
My group, the 4 devils command, were the only people I trusted with my secret, so as I hid it from the rest of the town, I fell into a hole of gambling and crime.
Him, I don’t know who he is… but he left a scar on my face. as he left, I swore that I would become the most powerful… just so I could fight him, and for once… Win.”
I stepped out out into the moonlight at the sound of a scream from below and I always thought of myself as a warrior so I picked up my sword and left to rescue the maiden from the mouth of a monster. After the rescue I followed her to a cottage, through restless trees and foliage, to a house, in a clearing, a place she called home. .Although I wanted to enter there was something in her manner that my mind could not ignore and I recalled a story whispered in the kingdom far and wide "Beware, a little cottage in the forest in a glade for in it dwells a demon that will lure you into its lair" and so i ran away, maybe I'll return one day and see if I am brave enough to enter that little cottage.

1. Origin: Your parents always told you that you are gifted, but the Wizards within the city walls look unfavorably on anyone from the city's surrounding farmlands.
2. Significant event: You failed the magic aptitude exams to be apprenticed at the city wizarding college, despite your obvious abilities you might add.
3. Reason to adventure: You're going to prove to everyone that you are a powerful Wizard.
Preferrable class: Level 3 Arcane Trickster Rogue, no multiclassing for roleplay purposes. Age: Young adult. Flaw: Is 100% convinced of being a Wizard regardless of any contrary evidence.
