"Stating the truth in a way which pleases you isn't necessary: If it's true, you don't have the right to be offended, though you still may be, and that's okay."
"Dyne, absorbing the lives of animals is immoral- WAIT NO, LET THE CHILDREN BE."
"Any class can be a bard if you're persuasive enough."
You can play a caster with greenflame blade and booming blade?
The problem is that this would work exactly like any other weapon, but for less damage.
I think the idea is to showcase what makes daggers unique, and try to leverage the benefits they have over other weapons.
Personally I feel 5e has done daggers dirty, along with all thrown weapons in general. Every rogue runs around with a rapier in this edition, and you can't really blame them.
For my games, I've added a Rogue Weapon Expertise feature to the class that boosts daggers and slings. Crits with those weapons deal additional damage equal to your proficiency bonus, and at level 5 when you Sneak Attack with those weapons you can reroll a number of dice equal to your proficiency bonus.
Flavour is free :P
