What is the best class to pair with Tabaxi? I was eventually going to make a Tabaxi and I didn't know what to pair it with. Also I'm curious what people will say. (Not speedster just means that I'm not going for the ridiculously fast Tabaxi monk and whatnot I just want to play a Tabaxi.)
They get a +2 to DEX and can double their movement, the natural weapon and climb speed will mostly be a bonus. So DEX dependant classes that like careful positioning are the obvious choices: fighter, monk, ranger, rogue.
They also get a +1 to CHA which combined with previous list makes Bard and warlock a good choice, and to a lesser extent sorcerer (they don't get much from DEX). DEX based paladin might be one of the better options too.
I'd say top 3 are bard, rogue, and DEX paladin.
Personally, I plan to run a tabaxi shadow monk (ninja) in AL in the future.
I had a Tabaxi Monk/Trickery Domain Cleric of Catlord multiclass which was super fun... it's easy to hold concentration on spells when your up a tree while your 'perfect illusion' is down there in the fight.

Alberta Banana@TheRealAlberta: Good News! I finally brought Zangief back from the Dead :D :D :D Also I'M A LITCH FOR REAL! Downside may have ruined 60% of Athas in the process... sigh... I'll fix it tomorrow. LVL20 Litch, Sorcerer King of the Second Banana Age of Athas, Survivor of the Tomb of Horrors, Backwards Spellcaster, Undead Warlock Patron to Jane with a army of Simulacrum clones.
Would be fun with path of the beast, gives unarmed claw attacks as a back up if you run out of rages and the extra speed would allow for massive jumps with the level 6 ability for grapple pile drivers. Asi's ain't great as your won't get +3 str and can't wait n till level 4 at earliest but that's not the end of the world.
Speed aside, the Tabaxi's Dex and Cha make them a natural for the Swashbuckler. Innate Climbing helps, too. The free Stealth and Perception skills don't hurt one bit, either.
An awesome pair of boots is standard equipment for this combo.

I played a really fun Tabaxi swashbuckler rouge, I took the mobile feat but that's not necessary. because you can disengage as a bonus action you can basically sprint past enemies and attack them while not getting hit yourself, and if you have friends attacking them you'll get a nice sneak attack bonus.
I am playing a Tabaxi Rogue Swashbuckler with the Wanderer background. She is great fun. We are outdoors, on the great plains and in scrubland so far. With her speed, stealth and night-vision she shucks extra gear at camp and scouts at night. Information gleaned this way let our party of 6 take out a coven of 13 witches - we ambushed half when they split into a raiding party, then took out their camp with a frontal assault. Made 3rd level on the first combat. She also scouts 120' ahead of the party and can use feline agility to get out of an ambush and go tell her mates.
Now, what to do at 4th level? I have narrowed it down to ASI Dexterity which adds +1 AC, +1 to hit, +1 damage and +1 Stealth; or Sharpshooter, which can add +10 damage to her bow shots. (A sneak attack sharpshooter +10/-5 shot that lands will then do 3d6+14 damage!)
Mobility is tempting feat, but she is already faster than most monsters and has fancy footwork to get away. Going from 180' in a turn to 240' is just gilding the lily.
Charger is also tempting. With fancy footwork and feline agility she can do +5 damage (D8+9 with her rapier) on nearly every melee attack. That is a higher damage rate than Sharpshooter, but she would become a glass cannon, the target most likely to be killed. She wants to leave that role open for our half-orc barbarian. Also, I don't think most DMs will allow a Charger attack to also be a sneak attack. I wouldn't.
PS - I rewrote "Tobacco Road" lyrics into "Tabaxi Rogue" for her theme song.

Since you are making a melee weapon attack with the bonus action granted by Charger feat, I don't see why you couldn't get Sneak Attack on it as long as you have advantage or otherwise qualify for sneak attack. You won't get it from attacking unseen barring a blinded creature,
Sneak Attack
Beginning at 1st level, you know how to strike subtly and exploit a foe’s distraction. Once per turn, you can deal an extra 1d6 damage to one creature you hit with an attack if you have advantage on the attack roll. The attack must use a finesse or a ranged weapon.
You don’t need advantage on the attack roll if another enemy of the target is within 5 feet of it, that enemy isn’t incapacitated, and you don’t have disadvantage on the attack roll.
Swashbuckler does grant Rakish Audacity.
Rakish Audacity
Starting at 3rd level, your confidence propels you into battle. You can give yourself a bonus to your initiative rolls equal to your Charisma modifier.
You also gain an additional way to use your Sneak Attack; you don’t need advantage on the attack roll to use your Sneak Attack against a creature if you are within 5 feet of it, no other creatures are within 5 feet of you, and you don’t have disadvantage on the attack roll. All the other rules for Sneak Attack still apply to you.
That does give you a variety of ways to apply Sneak Attack.
Charger might be the stronger movement ability for you since it does add the bonus and Mobile and Fancy Footwork have overlap. However, the difficult terrain clause and extra 10 ft of movement could still be nice. At 4, I think I'd stick with the dex increase as it just does so much for you and sneak attack represents a large chunk of your damage as you level.
Sharpshooter could be nice later but missing because of the -5 likely means that you are missing out on at least as much damage as you would gain from sharpshooter since you would be getting at least 3d6+dex damage from a shortbow with sneak attack. If anything, I'd consider Crossbow Expert if you can get a hand crossbow to give you an option for a second ranged attack to apply sneak attack if you miss on your first attack.
I'd probably rank them for your build as dex improvement, crossbow expert, charger, Sharpshooter, and Mobile. Given some more data about your character and your campaign, I might change that up a bit after dexterity, but I do think dexterity is likely your best bet from what you've stated so far.

Monks fit pretty well.
Rogue is good.
Ranger sucks, but Tabaxi is a good race for it.
Fighter can be good.
Paladin (especially dexterity based) can be good.
Bard can be good
Sorcerer can work
Warlock also works

Cool. I was thinking of Monk. Good to know that it's not a trash combo.
How long are you going to be playing? How many levels?

Monk, you can be the fastest thing in all the planes, nothing will ever catch you. Go with shadow monk and mobile feat for even more fun.

DICE FALL, EVERYONE ROCKS!
I've played a Monk in a previous session and now a Bard. Both work extremely well IMO.
Unfortunately, maintaining your perfect illusion requires concentration.

Especially with the Class Feature Variants that helps with Deception checks, yep, also a good choice.

Rogue thief archetype is very thematic for Tabaxi.
I'd go with a rogue for a Tabaxi especially how they have an increase in dexterity.
