Mystic was broken, definitely. But I did like the psionic point system, I'm fine with doing some double digit math, I think they could have salvaged that from the Mystic. It's Unearthed Arcana anyways, they should playtest new versions of older and received ideas.

Yeah, they create one broken psionic class and decide to abandon it. They need to make a new updated version, like they did with the Artificer.
I just think they don't want to put in the work of making a new system.

Looking at this Psionic UA I can see why they aren't doing a mystic as the class is not needed, this UA does a fairly good job of showing why it isn't needed. From what I have read on the forums here the only ones not liking this UA are the ones saying that we need a mystic to do a psionic character and that anything less will not due so no mystic means the UA is horrid no more reading is needed. So I feel that WotC was in a damned if we do, damned if we don't situation so I'm glad they stuck to their guns after JC stated no new classes after the Artificer.

Not quite. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Mystic. However, I strongly believe that Psionics should not be represented by Spellcasting.
The main reason that I don't like the new UA is because they are using it as a replacement for Mystics. I have nothing against them existing, unless it is a situation where you have either the psionic subclasses or a Psion class.
This way of thinking makes me angry. Why can't I have my cake and eat it too in this situation? There's no reason why having a psionic spellcaster means that Mystic can't exist or vice-versa.
The mystic is still as needed as before this UA came out. Nothing has really changed. There is still a niche in 5e that can't be properly filled until a Mystic/Psion class if officially published.

I honestly love this new Psionic Talent Die mechanic. I wish they just made a non-spellcasting Psionicist class based around that mechanic and I would be happy.
I haven't made my mind up yet about the psionic talent die. It's kind of strange that you want to roll average numbers, though it kind of makes sense. It's just kind of strange. If they made a Revised Mystic around that mechanic, I'd love it, but the fact that they abandoned the idea of a class that uses psionics really makes me angry.

Hm, the psi wizard was abandoned. So it's possible they are working on a different wizard subclass? Possibly more spells?
The basically took the Aberrant Mind Sorcerer and combined it with the Psionic Wizard. I don't think that they're making another wizard subclass or spells. They listed the spells in the new UA document that they've abandoned for some reason.

Probably balance. And since they scrapped the psionic Wizard, they might still need to replace it for the full set since, remember, I won that bet too.
The Wizard would need to be redone to make a complete set, maybe a revamped Onoumancer? It came out before the Psionic UA Part 1, and hasn't had any mention in months.

And artificers need new spells. Exclusive spells for Sorcerers and Artificers are needed. Druids have enough, Wizards have enough, Warlocks have enough, Bards have all of them, Clerics have enough.
Artificers and Sorcerers are in need of exclusive spells.
Also, if the next UA had a new Artificer and Wizard subclass with new spells for Artificers and Sorcerers, I would be happy.

Wizard could use a few more? The expanded spell list went mostly in their direction. Mostly for the 1-5 level range spells, granted we got the summoning spells so eh.
I hope it is a limbo mage for wizard, however it's possible it's a tattoo wizard, a red wizard of they. Of course tattoo is also something that works quite well with the artificer along with adding the tattoos as replicate magic items. Possibly some more infusions.
Artificer doesn't have any unique spells so that'd be cool. And of course cantrips. I could see something like FMA:B gluttony devouring ability. A frontal cone banish to the astral plane by a proto-bag of holding. A spell to animate rope to restrain or for utility. Could have a unique dispel in that you remove a attunement on the victim? To kind of disarm? Perhaps a tattoo spell that works like dragon breath, a bonus action and then you make touch attacks through a tattoo?
Here's a controversial thing I've never seen suggested: A list of magical diseases and their effects. I feel like diseases don't do enough in the game. It'd make lesser restoration a more useful spell to have around, and you'd be even happier to have paladins, monks or warforged in the party who can't even get disease past a certain point.

Also known as CrafterB and DankMemer.
Here, have some homebrew classes! Subclasses to? Why not races. Feats, feats as well. I have a lot of magic items. Lastly I got monsters, fun, fun times.
Yes, I liked the idea of the mystic more than the mystic itself.

I feel like it's weird to try to make branch-off subclasses based on mechanics and concepts that have yet to be implemented into a full class.
It's ok Ranger, you'll always be cool to me.. Unless druid gets another use for its wild shape charges.

I think Wizards could use a handful to replace the ones they are giving up to the comunity in the CFVs.
