I Hope that a futur UA will put the Find steed spell on the same page as the UA Summons in terms of Hp calculation of the summoned creature...
A 19HP Warhorse is fine when you're lvl 5, but once you're lvl 8 and faces off enemies that can do 20 dmg per round, despite the fact that you have a Plate barding on the darn Wardonkey, and it still ******* dies leaving you on foot, its stupid...,so much for the mounted Knight thing...
A Steed from Find Steed HP should be PC lvl X2+CON+spell lvl, at least it could survive 2 X-bow bolts...

Idk if this has been brought up before, but i would really like some options for Paladins, Clerics and Warlocks who break their respective agreements. Not as like, a way to punish players but mostly as a player option, cause sometimes players develope in a way where breaking it makes more sense (and otherbreaker is an option i more often than not see players want to start out with)
You know, I keep thinking about this idea more and more. While I continue to doubt that they would ever include something like this in a UA document, it really is a rather interesting idea. Now I can’t seem to get it out of my head and kinda wanna homebrew my own Pactbreaker. What did you have in mind?

I think the hard part of this is that you can't Multi-Class into the class you already have (per RAW). If you start off as a Devotion Paly, you can't Multi-Class into Oathbreaker. Logically the idea makes sense, after all you can't break an oath if you never had one to begin with, but RAW gets in the way. That would be the same issue for a Warlock or any other class. I think the design of the Oathbreaker/Pactbreaker would have to incorporate an over riding rule for this specific case and a Pre-Req of having had an Oath or Pact.
This is of course in the context of wanting something "Official" from WotC as opposed to just a Homebrew rule.

Well, for an Oathbreaker it is basically meant to completely replace the prior subclass. It’s kinda hard to replace something if it isn’t there to replace.
I guess that is true for Oathbreaker (which I don't really care for) but for Warlock you keep all of your abilities and just stop progressing as a warlock unless you find a new patron. So I guess you don't really need a subclass to fit either role.

Do you? Or do you lose them all? Or does something else happen?

Warlocks are arcane casters, not divine. They do not need their patrons to cast their spells, or at least they do not draw oppon their patron for their Magic, pact features and invocations are a Bit murky still

That’s where it looses me though. The only reason it makes sense for Warlocks to use Cha instead of Int for their spellcasting ability is if they have to convince their Patrons to fork over the juice for it. If they really “learn” and “know” this stuff, why don’t they use Int?!?

Sorcerers also use Cha and they Learn and Know spells without asking a patron for help.
Side note: Cha is a dumb choice of stat for Warlocks to use in my opinion.

Intelligence just feels better for the Warlock, and gives them more of a "mystical researcher" vibe.

Sorcerers (and Paladins) do their thing kinda through a force of will/personality. Bards kinda persuade/finesse/charm the weave to do stuff.
Warlocks using Cha only makes sense if they have to persuade their patrons for magic. I can accept that as a reason they use Cha. Otherwise... not so much....

Right?!? Like, if they were metaphorically “sleeping with the teacher” to get the test answers I could get it. But if that’s not the case then they should use Int.

There’s all types out there, as long as it’s consensual and everyone is over age I don’t judge. ✋🤚
But again, I was speaking metaphorically. As in instead of all of those wears studying at a Magic School, or apprenticed under some greater Arcane User like a Wiz, or just pulling it out of your pocket like a Sorcerer, Warlocks go suck up to Cthulhu or Julian Sands and get the secret goodgood from them without the need for things like hard work or innate talent. Their power comes from their Pact bond, and that bond is only held together by remaining in their patron’s good graces. But if they don’t have to keep sucking up to keep their power turned on, then the whole Cha thing falls apart. So I can buy them using Cha if there’s a reasonable explanation, but if not....

I was speaking humorously.
The one reason I think that I could explain warlocks casting with charisma is that they instinctively know all the gestures and incantation required for magic, and this knowledge is provided by their patron. All they have to do is power their spells with their willpower. I think that their are two types of warlock: one that buys a sorcerer's powers, and one that buy's a wizards. One that signs up for ancient knowledge would cast with INT, while one that just wants raw power quick would use CHA.

So since we don’t have an Int Warlock this edition, is hat leaves us with those who bought power. But again, are they buying, or are they renting?
To give a slightly humorous as well as slightly serious response: we can presume that most warlock patrons ultimately want their warlocks souls. Sure, some say they just want work, but let's face it, they want our souls. Think of selling souls like getting a house: do I want to keep this forever, or do I want to be able to stop renting this and move on. Now, selling your soul has some advantages: you get benefits immediately, but once it is done it is done. Your soul is gone. Now, you can rent power for little bits of your soul. This has advantages as well. If halfway through you decide warlocking just isn't your thing, then you can just give it up and you still get to keep a small amount of your soul. However, if you give it up, you lose all your warlock powers. So its your choice.

I want to add two things to the "should warlocks use int?" Question:

Where sages or wizards might heed a clear sign of danger and end their research, a warlock plunges ahead, heedless of the cost. Thus, it takes a peculiar mixture of intelegence, curiousity and recklessness to produce a warlock."
They are really just int casters in denial. Their art is the art of secrets and how they are aquired, confidence matters not
