I have a lot of thoughts about the Armorer, I'm just currently fixated on the Armor Modifications 9th-level feature:
You learn how to use your artificer infusions to specially modify the armor enhanced by your Power Armor feature. That armor now counts as separate items for the purposes of your Infuse Items feature: armor (the chest piece), boots, bracers, and a weapon. Each of those items can bear one of your infusions. In addition, the maximum number of items you can infuse at once increases by 2, but those extra items must be part of your power armor.
I can see the logic in separating the power armor into the chestpiece, the boots, and one weapon. But given there are only two bracer-based items the artificer can replicate, one of which you only benefit from when you're wearing NO armor, I expected more. Unless of course, "bracers" is also intended to cover glove- and/or gauntlet-based infusions as well, maybe even shields and the warforged-specific items if you wanna stretch it that far. Though if that were true, why not say so in the feature? I mean, I guess it's cool that you can infuse two more items than other artificers can overall if they're part of the armor, but at the same time why would you bother infusing the bracers with such apparently limited options?
A “Power Armored” Artificer. I have one thing to say:
“For teh Emprah!!!”
In Tractus Marine Symbolum Ego sum Tractus Marine. Ego principis militiae virtutis. In deterrendum in pacem. Ego cor pugna- ubicumque, quoties. Ego ferre Terra fidem et honorem inimicis. Regina sum Bello.

Imperil High Gothic. Speak you not the emperor’s tongue... heretic? With holy bolter and cleansing flame we shall purge this galaxy of the xenos and the non-believer alike. ☠️
Yeah, Iron Man knock off aside, I read “power armor” and the litanies started rolling through my grapefruit. I didn’t even read the rest of the class feature, let alone anything else in the document. “They had me at ‘Power Armor.’”
As someone who actually knows Latin, they're Latin words, but it's grammatically nearly incomprehensible. As TexasDevin says, it's 40k faux Latin; it gives me a headache XD

Repeating Shot Heavy Bolter Crossbow, a bolt case with a permanent Swift Quiver a little reskinning (longswords can be chainswords) some bad Latinish. “Ready to purge Captain.”

To clarify: I'm not against the Focus Codpiece. It's more that it bothers me that this thing gets the Focus Codpiece for free; every other artificer needs to burn an infusion to cast with their codpiece, if they can do so at all. Alchemists can't use a castpiece at all, and both the Buttlesmith and Fartillerist need to grab magic armor to do so. Given that this 'Armorer' gets the advantage of an innate weapon, heavy armor, two free infusions, nonmagical magic armor (note that the power armor does NOT need to be nonmagical, and some interpretations of RAW allows you to add infusions to already-magical power armor), and...just...yeesh. It's awful much, isn't it?
Especially when they also just get to ignore artificer casting restrictions with their Codpiece of Power.
So the Powered Armor feature doesn't seem to require that the armor be nonmagical... and the level 9 feature allows you to treat said armor as multiple items for the purposes of infusions.
That armor now counts as separate items for the purposes of your Infuse Items feature: armor (the chest piece), boots, bracers, and a weapon. Each of those items can bear one of your infusions.
Would this imply an Armorer could get four infusions onto already magic armor?
Dreadful Strikes doesn't really work that well as currently worded.
Dreadful Strikes 3rd-level Fey Wanderer feature You augment your attacks with mind-scarring magic, drawn from the gloomy hollows of the unseelie fey. You gain a bonus action that you can use to imbue the weapon, or weapons, you’re currently holding with magic. Until the end of the turn, the weapons are magical, and they deal an extra 1d6 psychic damage on a hit. A creature can take this extra damage only once per turn. When you engage in two-weapon fighting, you can imbue your weapons as part of the same bonus action you use to make the attack.
Two-Weapon Fighting
When you take the Attack action and attack with a light melee weapon that you're holding in one hand, you can use a bonus action to attack with a different light melee weapon that you're holding in the other hand.
To get a bonus action to attack you need to take the Attack action first. You can then imbue you weapons, but at that point you would have already used your Attack action meaning you only gain the benefit on the bonus action attack. The feature uses the word "weapons" a couple times indicating the intent is for it to somehow work on all your attacks. Hopefully they fix the wording and update the UA.
I am just so tickled with the Artificer subclass that I created a Gnome Rogue that will soon MC to Artificer for a dex based Scout planning on going 10/10 maybe 11/9 rogue/artificer.
How long does it usually take for these subclass UAs to make their way into the builder? I've been using Beyond for a year or 2 now, but I haven't been attempting to use a UA on a character that was in use until now, so I figured I'd ask the normal timeframe for it to get in the system. Armor Artificer was a better thematic fit for my lvl 5 character than his Forge Cleric/EK fighter combo, so my DM said I could basically remake him as an Artificer. While I think his respec will probably end up making him overall less powerful in combat, I ultimately decided to pull the trigger on the switch because it's just such a better character fit. Anyway, im not trying to rush anyone or such, just trying to figure out what timeframe I should be expecting for it to go up.
Thanks for responding. It probably won't be a big deal this week, since I don't think I'll be able to play anyway (I'll be traveling during our normal session time). Maybe I'll luck out a bit & they'll have it up around the time we're on our 18 hours of driving...
Oh yeah, that's the good stuff. They really went all out.
Ranger seems like a really strong upfront dump for multiclassing, the Star Druid is a sweet Boomkin, down to the resistance later on and the Artificer is maybe just ridiculous. Really strong showing this time, can't wait for the book.
Okay, yes everyone's head goes to iron-man, but honestly that's more marvel's fault than WotC's. And any artificer can cast with their "cod-piece" starting at level two. Any item you have an infusion on can be a casting focus, that's RAW.
I think the two extra infusions might be a little much, especially since it interacts with soul of artifice. Remember, when you drop to 0hp, you can choose to end one infusion, and drop to 1hp instead. Normally you have 6 uses of this per long rest (because you can re-infuse after a long rest). But this gives you two more for for free, and that's on top of the bonus utility it all ready gives you.
and Yurei doesn't like it, what a shock. I'm still waiting to hear about something they do like.
I love the armorist. if I weren't already two levels in on my Artillerist, I'd consider the Armorist. as it is, I'm going to see if my DM will allow the infusions.

What's everyone's favorite of the new infusions?
For me, it depends. If there's a paladin in the party, it is the Spell-fueling ring.
Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:
Spells, Monsters, Subclasses, Races, Arcknight Class, Occultist Class, World, Enigmatic Esoterica forms
Sounds like fun on the high seas to me XD

Well crap, so much for my homebrew. 😃
I even tried to avoid the clear Iron Man trappings. And I'm obviously biased, but the Armorer seems boring to me.
I actually thought we'd see a reworked Archivist before a new subclass.

Usually takes a week or so for subclasses to show up on DnDBeyond.
