When you're playing, DM or PC, what's the one thing that bothers you most often? Like if you got your gaming-only wish spell, what's the first problem you would banish?
Not having enough time to write summaries of our sessions.

Social distancing. As in, not being allowed to even be in the same room. It's just not the same, even if it's understandable under the circumstances and I wouldn't have it any other way until things improve.

So far, no real issues around our table, but it's an easy going group.
I would prefer if the players were more story-driven, so that I could justify building a more robust world, but part of that just boils down to experience. As newer players, they're still getting their legs under them, so it's easier to match their level of investment and let it grow organically.
Not scheduling per se, but timeliness/responsiveness: letting the DM/group know as far in advance as possible if you're going to miss a session (and definitely not ghosting) and being on time -- more of an issue with in-person games, where travel's an issue. But unless you have an agreement that the first half hour is really general chit chat and settling down, start time is when you're supposed to be ready to play.
WiFi/Video Call/Audio/Roll20 issues, as we are forced to play online.
I invested in a high end mic and speakers. Helps with all the other voice-based online communications during lockdown as well, but it's the online D&D that decided it. I hear you on the technical issues though.

My group plays online in Discord (PbP), 3 of us are from the US, 1 is from the UK and I'm from Switzerland. We play all two weeks on sunday evening from (my time) 9pm (Sun) till around 1am (Mon) and I have to get up at 7am.
Players getting way too mechanical with what they want to do. "No! That's a wasted action do something else!" It's not metagaming per say, but it is annoying at times for me as the DM who likes more RP and not, which is the most optimal mechanic to use. And thus there is a ton of rules talk about how to optimally do actions and stuff in combat.

One of the players regularly unable to make it due to family issues.
WOTC lies. We know that WOTC lies. WOTC knows that we know that WOTC lies. We know that WOTC knows that we know that WOTC lies. And still they lie.
Because of the above (a paraphrase from Orwell) I no longer post to the forums -- PM me if you need help or anything.
Scheduling, followed by zoom/audio issues (even when my group played at the local game shop, other gaming groups made lots of noise)

Covid. It has crushed my in-person game because people don't feel comfortable getting together.

No Gaming is Better than Bad Gaming.
Luckily my group has a giant collaborative timeline for our entire campaign world, so someone is gonna do it.

And now you too can play with the amazing art and assets we use in Roll20 for our campaign at Hazel's Emporium
I know this isn't relevant, but is it just me or do a lot of us live in Switzerland? You're the 3rd person I've heard mention that in two weeks.
