Is there a way to homebrew mundane (non-magical) items, that can be used within your campaigns?
My campaign uses multiple currencies by region. I would like to be able to add them as items that will appear in equipment lists. Is there any way to get this result, other than to have each character add the same set of custom items?
You can use the Magic Item maker and just state in description they're non-magical. Once on the sheet there's no actual difference.
Otherwise, no. Each player would need to use custom items.

Hollow unbreakable arrows are the most OP common magic item, and my current method of coming up with insane combat shenanigans.
if you make a steel pipe with one end closed and a nozzle on the other, you can enlarge it, fill with any liquid, and then drop concentration, creating a high pressure squirt gun. (or a pipe bomb, depending if it holds)
Thanks for the response folks. Unfortunately I can't seem to find a combination of options that will allow the items to stack, as you would hope for with currency. To have 100 gold coins would mean 100 lines on their inventory otherwise. Is anyone aware of options I can choose that will allow stacking, like for arrows? Thanks

Can you give your custom item charges, not an ideal work around but it would allow quantity tracking
Characters can keep a 'Wallet' section in their Other Possessions and manually list out how much coinage they have of each currency. It's inconvenient compared to the coin automanager, but not any less inconvenient than tracking coin on a paper sheet. It's what I used to do before Containers was implemented - kept a list in Other Possessions of where everything was.
Alternately, you can track five different currencies by assigning them to the Copper/Silver/Electrum/Gold/Platinum counters. The system won't accurately report total wealth, but who cares. Assign each country's currency one of the slots and go from there, if the country only uses one type of coin. If not? Manual wallet numbers in Other Possessions.
Since money can be stored in containers now, the easiest thing to do would be to have each player add a number of pouches (or alms boxes since they’re weightless) to their character sheets, customize them to rename them by region, and then divide up their regional currency by container. It means no homebrewing necessary and everything can be managed by the players directly on their character sheets. I recommend this to someone else recently and they seemed very pleased with the outcome.

Custom Items stack.
So do Potions if using the magic item maker.
Although Sposta's suggestion may well be best for you.

This is the most requested feature right now
But you can just use the magic item creator

What if you just re-name a different mundane item? Like a ladder or something. Just something no one is carrying around and isn’t likely to.
