Is there any way to export my characters from Roll20 back to D&D Beyond, i would like to move away from Roll20 and start using a different VTT, even possible AboveVTT, but i would love to also keep using the characters we already have in Roll20.
I can build a level 16 character from scratch on Roll20 in less than 30 minutes. If it "literally takes hours" on D&D Beyond, that indicates a serious need for a revamp. Does character building go faster when you're not searching for a thread that's over a year old to respond to?
I came here hoping there was something to help export my character between apps. I can definitely tell you some will take hours, mine in particular would take me a couple days probably especially because my character is an eladrin circle of the moon druid with a bunch of spells and ridiculous amount of wild shapes. Maybe your characters can be built in half an hour but some of us like a little character to our character.

The spells are as easy as filtering by level and adding them. They're even alphabetically sorted.
Wild Shape forms as Extras will take a few minutes, but there's a search bar.
If you aren't playing with homebrew, it wouldn't take that long.
I've been playing with building in both, and IME it doesn't take that long to reproduce the character (in either system) if you know what the decisions are and have access to all the source material. Set the level of the character and it will walk you through all the choices. The spells and standard inventory items are all available for search and quick add.
If you don't have all the source material, and have to homebrew a bunch of features, that's going to take longer.

Oh, what a bummer, ok, thanks nonetheless for your answer!
Are the characters really that complicated that you can't manually recreate them in dndbeyond?
Yes... very much so. A level 16 character has so many buffs and feats and magic items it literally takes hours.
