I am working on Harengon Simic Hybrid, and I'd like to create the option of allowing the character to pick a 3rd animal enchantment at level 10, but if the player chooses to do so it removes either luck footwork, leporine senses, or hair trigger. I would like to invoke this at level 15 as well. I almost feel like doing it the first time at level 5 to keep the racial traits balanced.
you would have to create all of those as “Options” with the ability to pick multiple ones and have them unlock at various levels. That way, when they pick something at the higher level they would have to unselected something from before to free up the slot.
I thought I had it all figured out on my own, I actually set a new racial trait for "replace" lucky footwork and rabbit hop at level 5. It's crazy that the first step locks everything in stone. It makes for a slug of editing for one mistake. At level 5 I am trying to make it non-optional, where the character literally loses their legs to an out of control enchantment and has them replaced by a tentacle mass.
