It's a reversed Driftglobe that emits darkness instead of light. It would be useful to Warlocks with Devil's Sight, Way of Shadow Monks, Gloomstalker Rangers, Shadow Sorcerers, races with sunlight sensitivity, and really anyone who likes hiding.
Even though it is roughly the same power level as Driftglobe (Darkness is level 2 vs level 3 for Daylight, but can potentially be cast more often) I added attunement and raised the rarity because of how useful it would be for some characters.
unless I'm missing something, this seems like it would only be super useful to characters with devils sight. would it be to powerful for the person attuned to it to be able to spend an extra charge and be able to see through the darkness spell?
I love drow, rogues and Chinese weapons. I mean come on, rope darts are awesome.
My current character is a drow shadow monk, with a "unique" honor code (give him some time, he's working through some stuff). He also sucks on the socialization side of interacting with all other living creatures. which is very fun to RP.

Really, no one has any comments on this?
Yooooink!! Depositing this into my CoS game.
It would make more sense if it regained its charges each day at dusk. How’s the item to know whenever you take a rest or not? Ne?
