Hello Ddb world! So my group likes using physical paper, and using the app for sourcing and character sheet backups Incase they loose their sheets. I'm the only one that really likes and uses the app/account more than physical. I have content sharing enabled and all the lads can see it just fine.
Now I have a buddy that just joined the campaign, we have him set up on Ddb (non sub), created his character, and was going to start after he did his physical character sheet. The DM gave his character Finishing touch (Homebrew), and since he is a non sub, to save time, I went ahead and added one someone made in the community into my collection. But we couldn't get it to pop up in the inventory, so since this work around wouldn't pan out I made it from scratch this A.M. Waited at least a 1\2hr and texted him to try and add the item I made, but alas, no dice. He does have HB enabled and he does have access to the source books... What should I do? Was thinking of having him jump on the site next time I see him and just remake it on his account, but i feel like that means i wasted time remaking this. Any suggestions?
Content sharing need not be enabled to share homebrew. All homebrew is automatically shared within a campaign. If they are using the app, that may be the problem. It is designed for offline use and doesn’t update in realtime. It only updates nightly when the device syncs itself to the network. They should try online next time.
The only other issue may be they are confused as to what “enabled” vs. “disabled” looks like in their settings. That happens to a lot of people. Remind them that enabled is red, to the right.
