I'm making a new race that primarily lives in a snowy/blizzard rife area. Is this main trait too op for them?
Hunter's Knowledge
You are naturally adept at hunting prey even in hostile environments such as blizzards. You may choose a humanoid or creature as your quarry. You gain advantage on Perception and Survival checks to track this target. If you have not met or encountered your prey previously to choosing them as quarry you have advantage on discerning the creature type. If you have met or encountered your prey previously you may take an action to carefully examine the tracks to gleam additional information about your target such as general behavior as well as resistances, vulnerabilities, and immunities of the target.
You can use this trait a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
You have sever redundancies in there, a humanoid is a creature, etc. and you left it so open that they could choose any creature in existence, even if they don’t know it exists. And the whole part about having met the creature previously or not is a little iffy, you could streamline it a bit if you wanted by tying it to degrees of success. Try this:
Hunter's Knowledge (Written for 5e)
You are naturally adept at hunting prey even in hostile environments such as blizzards. You can choose a creature as your quarry, to do so you must either be able to see the creature or know of its existence, either by smell, sound, or by seeing signs of it such as tracks. You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) and (Survival) checks to track, locate, and identify your quarry. If your check succeeds by 5 or more, you learn one additional piece of information regarding the creature’s behavior.
Or this:

I think IamSposta's suggestion is pretty clean cut! However, the extra information about resistances and such reminds me a bit of the Battlemaster Fighter's Know Your Enemy ability, which is granted at 7th level, and your race's version of it is even stronger than the Battlemaster's. Perhaps this part of the fancy hunting ability could be a feature that your race "unlocks" or "gains" later on, at 7th or 11th level, rather than right away? Maybe I'm totally off the mark but I can't think of another ability that functions that way at a lower level.
This is true. Plus, if the DM is doing their job right, they should be describing resistances or immunities as part of the action. Most of the time, if my high passive perception party druid gets a really powerful spell to hit, but the thing they're fighting has a resistance to that damage type, I'll say something like "given the amount of energy you expended on that spell, the amount of power that you released, the burns your target has sustained don't seem as severe as you'd expect to see." Or something along those lines. It's not outright handout of enemy stats, but it is helpful to focus the party on the action and encourage adaptation of strategy, which keeps combat interesting.

I hope that helps.

This is very helpful, thank you!

If you notice, my versions of the trait omitted the Immunity/Resistance/Vulnerability part and only grants additional knowledge of behavior. 😉
