Was trying to make gladiator from for honor for a new campaign. Looks and class are easy, the issue I’m having is trying to recreate his deflects and such as actions or reactions in dnd. If anyone could help I would appreciate that
also if you have another for honor character that you have already made please drop it in to help out others with the same idea
Battle Master fighter or Martial Adept feat with the Parry and Evasive Footwork maneuvers. Or the Shield spell, which is accessibly through the Magic Initiate feat or a single level in a spellcaster class (like hexblade warlock)
I know its super late but the riposte maneuver is basically a free deflect and if you have two feats here's some options to consider:
1. Defensive Duelist: for Parry 2. Sentinel: Helps with ganking, and combined with riposte will mimic a skewer deflect 3. Piercer for extra "bleed damage" on crits 4. Mobile to mimic the roll mechanic in For Honor, maybe even a fun but unrealistic dodge cancel 5. Duelwielder: +1 AC and being able to attack with a 1d8 offhand bludgeoning weapon to simulate a buckler shield bash, needs extra build around it unfortunately. Polearm Master: Mimics front skewer deflect if enemies dash attack into your range; gives up parry though and relies on bm parry instead
