Come on dnd! I expect better from you! as the "number one played rpg game" You can't just go ripping off tolkien!
to be fair good old Tolkien is the origin of most of modern fantasy
“J.R.R. Tolkien has become a sort of mountain, appearing in all subsequent fantasy in the way that Mt. Fuji appears so often in Japanese prints. Sometimes it’s big and up close. Sometimes it’s a shape on the horizon. Sometimes it’s not there at all, which means that the artist either has made a deliberate decision against the mountain, which is interesting in itself, or is in fact standing on Mt. Fuji." -Terry Pratchett (author of Discworld)
If I made a fantasy setting, it would probably be nowhere near Middle Earth and end up being quite boring! But I count myself deliberately mutating the mountain.

Mine is far, far from Middle Earth. Maybe Middling Earth? But anyway, it's different but has elements of LotR.

All stars fade. Some stars forever fall. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Homebrew (Mostly Outdated):Magic Items,Monsters,Spells,Subclasses ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If there was no light, people wouldn't fear the dark.
Aversion to Fire and Water. If the nazgul takes fire damage or is submerged in at least one foot of water, it has disadvantage on ability checks and saving throws until the start of its next turn.
Black Breath. At the start of each of the nazgul's turns, each creature within 5 feet of it takes 17 (5d6) poison damage. A creature that touches the nazgul or hits it with a melee attack while within 5 feet of it takes 17 (5d6) poison damage.
Fear Aura. Any creature hostile to the nazgul that starts its turn within 10 feet of the nazgul must make a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw, unless the nazgul is incapacitated. On a failed save, the creature is frightened until the start of its next turn. If a creature's saving throw is successful, the creature is immune to the nazgul's Fear Aura for the next 24 hours.
Sunlight Sensitivity. While in sunlight, the nazgul has disadvantage on attack rolls, as well as on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.
Actions
Multiattack. The nazgul makes two ghost sword attacks.
Ghost Sword. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (3d8 + 5) necrotic damage.
Life Drain.Melee Spell Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 24 (6d6 + 3) necrotic damage. The target must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or its hit point maximum is reduced by an amount equal to the damage taken. This reduction lasts until the creature finishes a long rest. The target dies if this effect reduces its hit point maximum to 0.

It's good, but where the Cry of the Nazgul? It's their trademark! (I also think they would have higher Intelligence). Other than that, it's great!

I think that statement’s hilarious so it’s earned you the title of Elf. I’ll update the cult page as soon as I can get on my computer.
So, do you accept?
Most defintly, I'll be Thingol
Got it! Also, you can put your title in your sig if you want.
Thanks, so for the next step on my assertion of the ranks, how do you become an istari?
Also, what would be the class make-up of the fellowship? (I.e. Aragorn human ranger)
Aragorn's a human battlemaster fighter. Legolas is a wood elf ranger.

They aren't really ranks, just titles. No title is "higher" than another, except for the Maia (moderators and secondary leaders) and the Valar (leader/creator). Istari are people who create and DM LOTR encounters (we haven't done any yet).

And what about Gandalf, is he an NPC played by the DM
Nah, Merry and Pippin get some ranks in champion fighter (Pippin more than Merry). Gandalf is an aasimar wizard.
