dagaz raido is a interesting concept, I think stunning them rather the paralyzing them would fit better with the frozen in time aesthetic
defy death is an incredibly powerful feat as it could allow a extra turn or force the enemy to waste an attack knocked you down again. I don’t think it’s over powered though
henfolk is a well done race, I feel they are a bit too powerful compared to other races but you have done great work on their culture and sub races

Fair point, I'll make this change
Thanks, and yeah it's fairly strong.
How so?
The speed increase, the bad flyer ability and the protect the flock. The speed increase isn’t bad but It’s interesting how it’s increased by 10 instead of 5. The bad flyer is situational and taking no fall damage opens up a lot of options. Protect the flock is a bit odd when put with the rest of it’s abilities, I feel like their should be a per day/long/short rest recharge because this ability is better then most tank options. All of this together makes a strong race. Then you have the sub races to put on top of that.
Farmfolk get a free 10 hp of healing and can make food supplies a joke
Wild folk get an extra two proficiencies and an extra movement option. I think having a per day/rest would help make it more balanced
Rooster folk get 1st level monk punching and the Champion fighters ability. I don’t know what radiant word does so I can’t say anything about that.
This makes a strong race much more powerful
I recommend decreasing the speed increase to a 35 so it’s not that much of an outlier. Consider bad flyer to be unlocked at 3rd level. Move Protect the flock to Rooster folk. Consider removing the bonus to critical from wild strike and having it as a base Feature.
farmfolk. Consider having them know the spell Good berry regardless what caster they are. That way it costs a spell slot. This would make it unappealing for non casters so maybe a new ability
wild folk. Add a per rest/per day timer on Aggressive.
Rooster Folk. Move Protect the flock to Rooster folk. Consider removing the bonus to critical from wild strike and having it as a base Feature. Also add per rest/per day timer on protect the flock. I don’t know what Radiant word does so no opinion here
blood spill demon.
the rampage feature says gnoll. Other then that it’s an very good canon fodder for the abyss, I really like it’s Random behavior rolls. I think it having a chance to use blood wave would be good but I can see why you didn’t.
Over all an excellent addition to the forces of the abyss and gives me more options then just devils for a summoning gone wrong

You don't actually seem to have that good a handle on balance do you, all these features are solid (except bay flyer, which I'm still confused why people think it's strong, it's just not) But they don't get much besides that.
Might bring the speed back to 35ft,
Your suggestion to farmfolk makes no sense, and farmfolk is pretty balanced.
Rooster folks boosted crit range is balanced by one thing: It only applies to unarmed strikes. Besides, we all know that feature, well fun, doesn't add much in power.
Aggressive is taken from orc, and is a well-balanced secondary ability, I might but a slight cooldown on it, though.
Your suggestion to put protect the flock on rooster is dumb, for reasons anyone who's angered a hen can tell you, but I'll but the feature on a recharge feature of short rest, but increase the AC bonus to two.
I'll fix the gnoll thing, and thanks. Also keeping blood wave off the roll was intentional, because I wanted them to have break out of their rage to use it, as part of the balance.

bad flyer is a very useful skill. Think about how useful feather fall is.
is aggressive taken from the NPC ork or an ork race
the rooster folk idea was taken more from the idea of them protecting their flock but I don’t know a lot about birds. I just think a better unarmed strike would be a base racial ability. If that was done then I removed rooter folks main ability and their was protect the flock which didn’t fit with the base Feature all that well so by switching them that would keep rooster folk as a unique sub race
(Also please don’t insult my intelligence or ability to balance stuff. I know I’m not all knowing which is why I post stuff here. If you don’t want my opinion tell me and I will stop going through your homebrew)
Hens do not have bad attitude. As an owner of mostly-free-range chickens, I can say our girls are just perfectly polite. The only thing hens do that is strange is they scare giant greyhounds that could technically kill them in seconds.

One of mine is sort of aggressive, but I think she just hates me, so yeah, I agree with Yamana. Roosters have more protective instinct than hens.
Hellfire Unleashed 10th-level abjuration Casting Time: 1 minute Range: Self (1 mile) Components: V, S, M (a ruby from the Nine Hells worth at least 50,000 gp, which is consumed by the spell) Duration: 1 hour Class: Sorcerer, Wizard, Warlock
You unleash a maelstrom of scorching flames in a 1 mile radius sphere centered on yourself. Each creature and object within that area (including you) takes 18d8 fire damage, which ignores resistance and immunity. If a creature starts its turn within the spell's area during the duration, or enters the area for the first time on its turn, it takes 9d8 fire damage, which ignores resistance. Objects within the area take this damage at the end of each round.

(Also: is Redpelt your alt?)
Redpelt is another person entirely. They're asking TTB whether it was okay to nick that spell.
Just realized that I didn’t mention on this thread, that I made a homebrew thread: Recovered from the Archives! Come check it out, and leave some feedback if you feel like it!
I just read through the homebrew advice in the DMG for the first time in a while and I realized how terrible they are... Like, 14d6 damage for a 9th level spell? Because meteor swarm totally doesn't do 40...
Do you think we should write our own? We could improve what's already there (like make the cr 1/4 hp for a monster not 30) and add new things (like how to adjust spell damage if it deals damage every turn in an AOE)

I was going to for the Notes but with 5.5e I don't want to give people misleading ideas... Should I still do it?
