Bolt starts flying while dashing, if that’s ok. If he gets close enough to the shadow, he will use his lightning breath on it.
Damage 20
Dash and Lightning Breath both take actions. And just as a reminder, Arthilas is in melee range of the shadow. That might or might not influence your decision to use an AoE effect.
I'm only using lightning breath if bolt gets close enouph, which i'm gonna guess isn't happening
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(lol, I just realized that I haven't leveled my sheet up yet. oh well, I'll do it when I have time ;) )
Zuli leaps after the shadow, trying to catch up to it. Feeling a rush of adrenaline, she launches herself forwards to land on all fours transforming into a large tiger. Though her clothing tears, the straps of her weapons keep everything in place as she rushes towards the shadow.
Initiative: 12
She dashes forward 90ft (dash+10ft from dread ambusher), if that isn't enough distance, she will use her second action to dash an additional 80ft, and once she is within 15 ft of the shadow she will pounce the remaining distance.
(If this is applicable...since this is a shadow we are talking about lol... The target must save a DC14 on strength or be knocked prone+ subject to bite)

You should wait with your attack until Tez posts again, if I succeed in shoving the shadow prone, you would have advantage. On the other hand, you can't make a dread ambusher attack when you don't take the Attack action on your first turn :-( Maybe you don't need to dash though, I should have movement left to pull the shadow closer to you if I manage to grapple it. Then you could even attack it three times (or whatever the amount of attacks is you can make as a Panther :-)
Darklis will dash 2 times (120ft) and try to get ahead of the shadow and block the doorway.
Out of curiosity, how's your speed 40 feet?
Her speed is 30ft. Dashing doubles the speed making 1 dash = 60, and 2 dashes = 120.
Dash just adds your initial speed again, so with 30ft speed, one dash adds 30 for a total of 60, and a second dash with Cunning Action adds another 30 for a total of 90.
Oh sorry, I was in a rush trying to catch up with reading lol. I missed that you were tying to tackle the shadow.
…oh, I forgot about that lol. I meant to say I would take an attack action if I didn’t need to double dash to catch up. …but I did only take one action so yeah I did that wrong lol. I’ll wait and see what happens, and change my actions accordingly. ;)

Wow! It’s funny seeing everyone post about how much they’ve been missing, then me reading all of it. Clementine shouts after Zuli, seeing her transform into the tiger. “That’s what you were talking about! Ohhhh! God, this sounds really weird but can I have a blood sample?” Then sprinting after with surprising agility, she uses cunning action and dash to travel 90 ft. As she runs by Ea she says “Can I get some blood from bolt too..? Like, a healthy amount… not enough to kill…”
As she catches up to the shadow she will draw her other knife, seemingly made out of blindingly sharp light and emerald. Just looking at it causes a slight headache and you feel the slight tug before the release of a cut. She holds both her knifes, one shining, panting next to the shadow.
Lol i'm still pretty sure you haven't missed as much as i have.... Lol I almost forgot that Clementine has the Emerald blade from my room. :D I'm glad it's not going to be lost to the endless pages of this thread!

No, that's just what the Dash action does. For the longest time, I thought it just doubled your speed, but then I read it again.

Trying to end the quote chain here, but yeah dash only adds your movement again. I, and everyone else, would be zooming if it doubled your speed. Especially if that stacked

Imagine if that was true and someone was a tabaxi.

Right? Monk tabaxi nonsense with haste and longstrider… past the sound barrier at that point
Yeah, I have a tabaxi monk in one game. I think my party was very glad I didn’t take the Mobile feat, and there is no way our bard would cast haste on me!

You guys mind if I take the next room. I’ve got a pretty neat idea.
