(Okay, I am SO sorry for my absence, things have gotten impossibly busy on my end, and I've been slowly writing this round out for days. I should be back for good now! Anyways if I get something wrong due to forgetting things let me know.)
Arthilas: You are easily able to keep pace with the shadow, and lunge to grapple it with outstretched hands! ..****y to leap through the mass of darkness and come crashing down to the ground in front of it!
Zuli: With speed that could rival a Tabaxi Monk with the Mobile feat, you manage to catch up with the shadow and Arthilas! Pouncing forward and aiming to kill, you slash through empty air with your claws.
Strange Shadow: It screeches again as the two of you advance, and bolts forward another 40 ft. into the next room! The doorway gives into a void of almost pitch black. Unless you have darkvision, you can't see into the room (Sorry, Darklis!)
If you have darkvision and within range, you can see another room filled with bookshelves.
Ea & Bolt: Sadly, Bolt is not close enough to use his lightning breath on the shadow! He's about 160 ft. from the shadow!
Darklis: The doorway is too far for you to reach it in time. There's approximately 10' between you and the doorway!
Clementine: You are able to catch up with the shadow with ease, and you almost get pushed out of the way by Zuli the Panther! But the shadow is gone by the time you reach it.
Initiative order: Arthilas Zuli

Ea & Bolt Darklis Clementine

Ea hops on bolts back and tells him to fly as fast as he can. So he dashes while flying. If I understand correctly, I should be 40 feet from the shadow by now.
Hey I checked, and Zuri only has immunity to non-magical attacks, not non-magical traps. So she should have died while ago.
She is immune to non-magical piercing, slashing, and bludgeoning damage, regardless as to whether it comes from an attack, trap, or jumping off a cliff. Lol It’s a bit OP yes, but it wouldn’t make sense for the immunities to be situational.
Zuli, unable to speak in full tiger form, growls her irritation as her attack proves futile. She looks around, snarling as she searches for her prey.

On his turn, he continuea running after the shadow and once he engages in melee, he speaks a magic word to activate his sword's fire rune. The rune on the sword's blade starts to glow and then the sword lights up in blazing fire. The sword deals 1d6 extra fire damage now.
He then makes three attacks (Extra Attack and Haste), with the first one being a Booming Blade.

Darklis lights a torch and continues into the room if she can get close enough to the creature, she will use her breath weapon on it. DC 15 in a 15ft cone. Force Damage 10

"Wish I could do that... The whole magic thing doesn't really click for me. That's why I dissect certain creatures, although the results vary wildly. It seems they each do their magic in a unique way..." clementine trails off into mumbling about various creatures and why it's unfair how complicated magic biology all is. She then seems to realize that the creature only seems to keep running away with no attack hitting it. "Guys, maybe we just let it go. I don't think any of us can kill it, and it seems to very much want to leave."
Ooh, saw a new feature I have to try, it says "Add rollable dice blocks" here goes nothing.

Edit: Very confused. If someone understand what this does, or how to use it please enlighten my feeble mind. Or direct me to the nearest person who can.

Yeah, I honestly have no idea how it's supposed to work. I think it might be for adding rollable dice to homebrew monster statblocks?

Ohhhhhhhh that’s fun, once I figure it out I still probably won’t use it. That’s super handy though.

Yeah me too, probably. I have no idea how well it works, but it's theoretically a pretty useful tool. (That is, if you care specifically about being able to roll dice directly from a monster statblock in the Encounter Builder.)

That’s what I was thinking would be the main use. As someone who runs pretty exclusively homebrew monsters it would be very handy.

Earlier, I created a homebrew monster (well, a copy of one of my existing ones) to maybe try to see how it works... and it seems that the "add rollable dice blocks automatically" tool is not available in the fields for monster stats. Which are like the one and only place they'd be necessary.
Dagger. Melee Weapon Attack. +5 to hit, reach 5 ft. and range 20/60 ft., one creature. Hit: 5 (1d4 + 3) piercing damage plus 2 (1d4) poison damage, and the target must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned for 1 hour.
Trying it out here... it worked!

I am fine with that. But first we need to finish this one :-)
Is this thread dead

I don't think so, we are just waiting for Tez to post again (who is still active elsewhere on the forums) to continue with the encounter.
