My honest advice would be to be more subtle next time. Cliches are nice when used sparingly, but you basically machinegunned me with horror tropes.

A bloody knife isn't as scary as "Bobby Brimming's screwdriver, used to install a roof that leached toxic chemicals into the waterways of a housing program for new mothers, causing the death of hundreds of infants. They blamed it on a ghost for decades, and they lynched Bobby when they found out about his unintentional involvement. He was the only surviving member of the roofing crew for that particular building. Everyone who was involved with the project had died under mysterious circumstances. The screwdriver is pristine, but so full of fear, guilt, and hatred that it can cut like a knife. If it ever cuts one who wields it as a weapon, the wound will never heal."

As a skinny person, you would probably have to train hard to use powerful spells, and have some high-calorie food in your gut (lard, anyone?) if you wanted to use magic for an extended period. You could essentially be a warlock: not much magic of your own, but you can keep going on less. You'd also be faster than most mages, so better dodging and you could close the distance faster.
You could basically be a spellblade, creating small, static weapons out of magical energy and using them once you get close so you can retain magic energy while still using powerful spells.

They made a pact with Famine, one of the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse. Now the giants grow in might and power the more they devour. The stronger the enemy they eat, the more powerful they become. This has caused them to cannibalize each other and has decreased their number but increased each individual's strength. In preparation for an important battle, one of the Fomorians in the story ate three of his siblings so his might is formidable. (He is almost immediately swallowed by a tongue demon though).

It’s a really cool idea, I was thinking about making a campaign world inspired by it.
The biopunk/biological elements of Toriko really hooked me, especially since it had a focus on food (I'm something of an amateur gourmand myself, although I don't actually have the resources to go out and get the gourmet food I want to try, whether to eat or to cook).
If you think it's cool, feel free to take inspiration from it! Odds are your players haven't read it (given its relative obscurity in modern-day... everywhere), and it's a good source of inspiration.

It’s a really cool idea, I was thinking about making a campaign world inspired by it.
The biopunk/biological elements of Toriko really hooked me, especially since it had a focus on food (I'm something of an amateur gourmand myself, although I don't actually have the resources to go out and get the gourmet food I want to try, whether to eat or to cook).
If you think it's cool, feel free to take inspiration from it! Odds are your players haven't read it (given its relative obscurity in modern-day... everywhere), and it's a good source of inspiration.
