It's been boring. Haven't seen much Halloween spirit lately.
Same. Besides all the Halloween pfp's, haven't seen much Halloween stuff. I haven't felt too much spirit for holidays in a while, really. And people are ALREADY TALKING ABOUT CHRISTMAS, I SWEAR JUST HAVE SOME PATIENCE IT'S NOT EVEN THE END OF OCTOBER AND WE HAVE LITERALLY TWO OTHER BIG HOLIDAYS BEFORE IT--
Thanksgiving is not big by my standards. You have a big meal. That is thanksgiving.
but yeah it’s annoying. Also I wish people did more decor then put up a 200$ giant skeleton. It gets old. When it’s really close to Halloween I watch all the Halloween classics- The Nightmare Before Christmas, Hocus Pocus, etc. That usually gets some spirit out of me, I watched Beetlejuice for the first time recently. Loved it. So new classic to watch every year. There’s Halloween music too.
I think the lack of Halloween spirit is just because in comparison to Christmas (which everyone jumps to) it feels very small. It has maybe like 5 Classic movies going for it (not counting horror) and that’s stretching it, it has some music, but not much. (Thriller, Nightmare Before Christmas songs, Monster Mash, Zombie, Physco Killer, Bloody Mary, and maybe Smith Criminal) and it has one big day. Now compare that to Christmas: Absolute abundance of amazing music that really tie the season up because you listened to them when you were little and they got tons of radio play. They’re engrained in your memory. A huge season where there’s numerous decorations including very obvious giant trees. A movie collection unmatched in the world of holiday films- Home Alone, It’s A Wonderful Life, A Charlie Brown Christmas, The Polar Express, Elf, How The Grinch Stole Christmas (Original version, of course, the song is everything), Klaus (less known but AMAZING), A Christmas Story, The Muppets Christmas Carol, and that’s just off the top of my head I love Halloween, but Christmas is so built in tradition and has been around so long (and love for that long, I feel like Halloween was probably looked down upon in the 60’s and stuff) that it’s a bit hard to compete. I also really don’t like how people cant contain themselves until at least Halloween is past too though.
I do agree with gibber tho, like, IT’S BARELY OCTOBER HOW ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT CHRISTMAS! Also, I do like video game Halloween Easter eggs and events, like Minecraft adding pumpkins to skeletons heads, etc.

Yeah, that makes sense. Although for music we also have SPOOKY SCARY SKELETONS SEND SHIVERS DOWN YOUR SPINE--
I get why people would like Christmas more, and I completely respect liking it more then Halloween. I'm just angry at people who start doing Christmas stuff in October (besides watching Nightmare Before Christmas, that works for both holidays lol). We went to the store, and there was a whole section for it. Watching TV, THERE'S A CHRISTMAS AD WITH SNOW AND EVERYTHING WHEN IT'S NOT EVEN WINTER. We even got an Amazon gift catalog already...
Do Halloween stuff! It's the actually right month for it.

Yeah, those are fun. My personal favorite is the April Fools updates game wise, since you know that there's gonna be some goofy silly stuff and it's great. (This isn't just talking about Minecraft, although their stuff is some of the best, just any game that does updates for April Fool's.)

I like both holidays equally. Halloween has free candy, cool costumes, and gettin' to scare the s*** outta little kids sometimes. Christmas has cookies, hot cocoa, a big dinner, and presents. And yeah, it's kinda annoyin' when they do the Christmas stuff early.
(Contrary to what PJ thinks, I love Thanksgiving. My nana's food is to die for.)

I’m not saying Thanksgiving sucks, but it doesn’t have decor, music, or really much tradition (unless you count the whole natives loved colonizers stuff, which really isn’t very good tradition) the food is great. Just not my favorite, I don’t mind when people skip to Christmas at that point. Real Christmas Spirit is strongest in December anyway
