I can take the next room if you want, Thoruk. I’ve been wanting to test run one of my riddles.
awesome, I've got basically nothing!
Regarding Jerry's plan:
McQuack (might as well get yerself a name, seems like you're hooked ;) ), your insight and arcana checks have you noticing that the crystal is no longer glowing, which suggests to you that it might not be working in the same way as it was before, but you have no real way of knowing if it's dead or not.
Mendigo clambers across the rope again, and picks up the iron golem amulet - and one of the lights goes out on the door. The door starts to slowly, slowly close (think indiana jones).
When the crystal is introduced to the amulet, it doesn't start glowing like it did before. Mendigo pauses and waits for a new command.
“Mendigo! Go get everyone out those doors, then see if you can hold them open, if you can’t wait for us behind there and keep everyone safe!”
Mendigo smartly salutes and climbs back onto the rope to start climbing across. Meanwhile, the door continues to close slowly, and presumably everyone starts making their way through it with some urgency! anyone who doesn't can shout out later ;)
Mendigo is about 15ft. from the exit of the corridor when there is the unmistakable rapid twanging of a rope breaking. Mendigo reaches for another handhold, and is suddenly dropped into the lava.
The door continues to close.
Jerry, you're just starting to run towards the lava when Mendigo lurches out of it, scattering globs of lava around him as he clambers up the steps underneath the surface. Smoke rises from his blackened shoulders and head, and he moves past you to the door, motioning that you should get through before it closes.
This next spoiler is for whoever's taking the next room only (Undaunted DM) - everyone else, peeking will only lessen your experience!
I mean it! no peeking!
The amulet is lessened, and it grants resistance to fire now not immunity. Mendigo was OK as he has resistance already, so it upped to immunity. Don't tell Jerry!
Over to Undaunted DM - Thoruk rematerialises in the doorway and absentmindedly wanders through as it slams shut with a heavy thud behind you.
Ok! So it sounds like I have a weak golem amulet? “MENDIGOOOOOOO!!! If you scare me like that again I’m gonna… um… I’ll… just… just be safe in the future…” Jerry will start replacing the burnt wood with fresh wood from his pack (for those back from this old time it’s the SUPER fire wood, it’ll be interesting)
Thank you Thoruk. I'll keep that very interesting information in mind... :)
One note before I start- I tend to post in the evenings of PST during the work week.
A great feast hall is laid out before you. A large table laden with the best food you have seen in your life fills the majority of the space. Each of you sees the food you love the most somewhere on the table, amid platters of meat, trays of fruit, and goblets of wine. (Feel free to elaborate on what that would be for your character) At the head of the table, instead of a chair, there is a large stone pedestal rising half a foot above the feast. The walls of the hall are covered with stone carvings, depicting all kinds of terrifying monsters. You spy giants, ogres, oozes, undead, and enormous beasts, all enjoying their favorite meal. You see no exits and the door you entered through has vanished, along with Harmony.
Do any of the monsters favorite meals look like Jerry?
jerry will get on top of the stone pedestal to survey the room. (Anyone looking for Jerry’s favorite food will find a goblet that really smells, upon closer inspection it’s full of gasoline)
edit: do I have the golem amulet? If so how effective is it? Can I put it on?
“I have the crystal here! Execute plan! I’ll do whatever it takes! Start the plaaaaaan!”
I'm waiting to see if the plan is necessary or if the door just stays open.

That’s fair

"Well, I guess that's my cue to go ahead and go through the door, come on Tempest." He and Tempest go through the door.

Why, yes the monster's favorite meals seem to be mostly humanoid.
While you're atop the pedestal, you notice an inscription written on top. It reads:
A sign of death
An essential for life
A mark of prestige
Stolen by bite
You have the golem amulet and can put it on. You can't tell how effective it is, as you are currently not on fire.

Huh… well this can go wrong! Jerry sets off a fire bomb in his hand.
How much damage do those fire bombs usually do?

It’s been different, you can always say something else but usually between 2d6 and 4d6
"also I believe that this is Jerry's second to last bomb."
Thoruk appears to be addressing the ceiling.

“I can always make more…!” Which seems a weird thing to say because we’re a limbo state of knowing I set off the bomb but not knowing what it does.
