Posted Feb 28, 2021Our DM just created a scenario with constructs made of wood, like a sort of living marionette. So our druid summoned 8 axe beaks and just CHOPPED EM TO BITS. End of issue.

Posted Apr 6, 2021I played an artificer and fitted my Axebeak mount with a attachable blade to its beak, I also armored the creature, in the end I had a creature with an AC of 18 (Crafted Plate barding) and could deal a impressive 2d8 + 2 slashing damage, I later added mithril spikes (so it wouldn't incumber the Axebeak) to deal an extra 1d4 piecing damage to any creature that attacked it within melee range. It ended looking more like a small siege weapon than an animal by the end of the campaign and its kill count was about the same as mine. many a enemy fell to the fearsome armored beast known only as "Private"

Posted Dec 23, 2021A mount can also dash or disengage (or dodge I think?) using its own action per the rules. So you can x4 your speed.
