False Appearance. While the treant remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from a normal tree.
Siege Monster. The treant deals double damage to objects and structures.
Multiattack. The treant makes two slam attacks.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (3d6 + 6) bludgeoning damage.
Rock. Ranged Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, range 60/180 ft., one target. Hit: 28 (4d10 + 6) bludgeoning damage.
Animate Trees (1/Day). The treant magically animates one or two trees it can see within 60 feet of it. These trees have the same statistics as a treant, except they have Intelligence and Charisma scores of 1, they can't speak, and they have only the Slam action option. An animated tree acts as an ally of the treant. The tree remains animate for 1 day or until it dies; until the treant dies or is more than 120 feet from the tree; or until the treant takes a bonus action to turn it back into an inanimate tree. The tree then takes root if possible.

I am Groot
I am an entling (or have the entwives not yet returned...)
random LOTR referance
“I speak for the trees.”
somehow a zombie version of this is my characters pet XD
how do I make this a playable character for my campaign?
We come, we come with roll of drum: ta-runda runda runda rom!
We come, we come with horn and drum: ta-runa runa runa rom!
I've just made a homebrew for a Trent race if you want i can message you a link to it
For a monster with an awareness of the forest for miles, a passive perception of 13 and no truesight-type ability seems super off-base. I would expect at least an interesting RP element like how a Morkoth is aware of when someone new steps onto its island, this guy should be made out to be more aware
So... Groot.
hello! could you send me that link to the treant character? i'm hoping to play one in a campaign!
Yes please I have been looking for that for some time now
Do you mean Ent?
I don’t know why but I love when these guys are just around. I always make them like, barkeeps or janitors or something
My DM let me use a customized variant human with the Outlander background to play an awakened tree (sapling). It is a wildfire druid, who fused with a fire elemental at the moment of awakening. He let me use the club and javelin stats for the slam and rock throwing attacks (both bludgeoning). Plus, cold resistance and a nonmagical ability to speak with plants (without the ability to embue them with sentience that the spell provides).
Oh, PLUS a base AC of 13 and the False Appearance trait.
Bro funny tree
