Shapechanger. The werewolf can use its action to polymorph into a wolf-humanoid hybrid or into a wolf, or back into its true form, which is humanoid. Its statistics, other than its AC, are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies.
Keen Hearing and Smell. The werewolf has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.
Multiattack. (Humanoid or Hybrid Form Only). The werewolf makes two attacks: two with its spear (humanoid form) or one with its bite and one with its claws (hybrid form).
Bite (Wolf or Hybrid Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 2) piercing damage. If the target is a humanoid, it must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or be cursed with werewolf lycanthropy.
Claws. (Hybrid Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 7 (2d4 + 2) slashing damage.
Spear (Humanoid Form Only). Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one creature. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) piercing damage, or 6 (1d8 + 2) piercing damage if used with two hands to make a melee attack.

Posted Nov 19, 2019Question, why can weapons only be used in human form? The picture does show something similar to hands. I would think it would be rather simple to hold something. As for stats, should a female werewolf's stats be altered? Should they have a higher intelligence level considering wolves are 30% smarter than dogs (a dog is only as smart as a 5 day old wolf pup)? Would stats be different in the different forms? I know this is a lot to ask, but my friend told me to do a lot of research.

2. If you run your own homebrew capaign you can do whatever you want, but in general gender doesn't give advantages
3. It's stated that only AC changes in the different forms, as for players though also strength changes, this is mostly just easier for the DM not having to check 2 or 3 stat blocks

Posted Mar 23, 2020Check out the [race]shifter[/race] race. They basically lycanthropes stripped down for PC use (to the point of being called the “were-touched” in universe). You can find a free version of the race in Unearthed Arcana.
You can also hand the player a werewolf’s stat-block with class some levels tacked on, but that will be far less balanced.

Posted Apr 1, 2020The average werewolf curse specifically makes you evil. It gives you evil urges that you can either give into or fight against. and if you resist it and go on a rampage that rampage would be even worse. It would be a completely animilistic inhuman creature that enjoys killing in gruesom ways just for the sake of killing. If you give in you basically just have to be a ******* to everyone around you and laugh at orphans and stuff... but at least you arent going all helsing attack on london on the orphanage.

Posted Apr 28, 2020First of all, in my Homebrew campaign, a werewolf bite makes the player like Larry Talbot - a soul cursed to turn into a wolf-man with no control over their urge to kill when the moon is full. If the player does not choose to have this curse removed, they may take a feat called Path of the Moon which allows them to control their abilities as shown here.
Second, why no Darkvision? My homebrew werewolves have this ability, but only to 30 feet and only in their wolf and hybrid forms. (Canines have better night vision, but lower visual acuity than humans, thus the reduced range.)
