Posted Jul 27, 2022Honestly they should have multiattack. But maybe why they don’t is that they do 10 points of damage on a hit. This might represent 10 stings at one hit point each, which to me is realistic. Also why immunity to paralyzation and stunned? Wasps can be stunned if you hit one with a newspaper. They might be paralyzed with a poison gas.

Posted Aug 1, 2023Yeah, if Giant wasps have poison to keep a victim alive but paralyzed, and swarm of centipedes the same; then I'm definitely homebrewing that into swarm of wasps.
Given that WotC put their attack as a bite, rather than a sting, I'm putting it down to a simple copy/paste oversight when creating SoW, missed in the editting process.

Posted Dec 10, 2024The reason is you can swat a single hornet and stun it but if you swing it at an entire swarm you shouldn't be able to stun all 100-200 wasps at once.
