Hey, so I was creating a character and added proficiency since the choices of weapons given wouldn't be usable. So I added it and no matter how many times I try to refresh, the proficiencies don't update and now I got a -1 on attack. How do I fix this?
the character looks fine to me - can you explain exactly what you're wanting to achieve?
You mentioned, "added proficiency since the choices of weapons given wouldn't be usable" - are you trying to grant your character proficiency with weapons a Genasi Warlock wouldn't normally have proficiency with?
I can see on the sheet that the character has already had additional weapon proficiencies granted with Light Crossbow, Dagger, and Spear.
They include dagger, spear and light crossbow, so the additional specific proficiencies that are added aren't needed.
I also note that your character has a spear, which is customised to add +1 damage. The reason this was showing a -1 to damage is because of the character having 8 strength.
Oh, that explains it, thank you. I didn't not know that certain weapons had strength requirements. That is something very useful to know. I'll undo what I did to fix what I thought was wrong.

It’s not that they have “strength requirements” per se, just that most melee weapons simply require Strength to use them. Only melee weapons with the finesse property allow one to use Dex instead of Str to wield them.

Probably a caching issue. Give it 20 minutes.

Definitely not that, it's been over 2 hours
Best link your character then so someone can take a look.

Looks fine to me. All the weapons a level one Warlock would be proficient with are showing up correctly.
Hi there,

Note that, as per the Warlock Class Features, all Warlock characters automatically gain proficiency in "Simple Weapons"
You can see what all of those weapons are here:

They include dagger, spear and light crossbow, so the additional specific proficiencies that are added aren't needed.
I also note that your character has a spear, which is customised to add +1 damage. The reason this was showing a -1 to damage is because of the character having 8 strength.
I hope this helps!
