In Arcane Ward the wording says "When you cast an abjuration spell of 1st level or higher, you can simultaneously use a strand of the spell’s magic to create a magical ward on yourself that lasts until you finish a long rest. The ward has a hit point maximum equal to twice your wizard level + your Intelligence modifier." followed by "Whenever you cast an abjuration spell of 1st level or higher, the ward regains a number of hit points equal to twice the level of the spell."
Does this mean a 2nd level Wizard could Ritual cast Alarm as long as the Wizard has the 10minutes it takes to cast the spell per use. Theoretically it would mean given a bit of time a Abjuration Wizard could always have a full ward up. Alarm would only "heal" 2 hit points of the Arcane Ward. If a Short Rest is 60 minutes, you could do 6 castings regaining 12 hp per short rest.
What if you also have a Ring of Spell Storing? Can you cast an abjuration spell from the ring back to an empty slot of the same ring to recharge the arcane ward?

It's disputable if the you would you or the ring, but I would argue it should work, because the Ring states "While wearing this ring, you can cast any spell stored in it.".
Can you normal cast a reaction spell as an action or bonus action? What about casting a reaction spell when its special trigger is not met?
For example, no one attacks me this round, can I still cast shield as a reaction (similar to how if I readied to attack but the trigger is not met, I can still attack at the end anyway)?
Can you cast a Reaction spell as an Action or Bonus Action? No. I don't believe you can cast a Reaction spell without the trigger being met, but 99% of the time I don't know why you would.
Why would you want to waste a spell slot on Shield if you aren't being attacked or hit with Magic Missile?!
The one time this did come up was the spell Feather Fall, which states "Choose up to five falling creatures within range."
The thing is we were having boss fight vs flying enemies on the top of the tower, and the spell lasts 1 minute. Due to it's wording IF someone was picked up and dropped or pushed off the side, I'd have to waste my spell on a SINGLE person. Which I think is lame. I eventually asked if the whole party can "jump" just before the fight, so they are all "falling" and I can cast it.
The answer was "no", but luckily no one died. I think it's lame way to make Feather Fall restrictive, so it only really helps if everyone falls at the same time.

If a rule says you cast a spell, then you are in fact casting a spell. Doesn't matter that it's coming from a magic item.
Casting a spell from the ring back into the ring is more of a grey area; the intent is that you have to use a spell slot to cast a spell into the ring.

Red's basically asking if it's possible to store a reaction spell in the ring without the trigger being met.
RAW the answer is no, but a DM might be willing to make exceptions in specific cases. From a narrative point of view, casting shield or feather fall is something a spellcaster chooses to do, and the fact that it requires a trigger is mostly a side effect of the game's rules.

Searching Spells using the filters for Wizard, Abjuration, and Ritual only Alarm counts.

Yes, you're reading it right. This means that it's also compatible with Spell Mastery.

Yup. It's even covered in Sage Advice:
Note that unless the DM is changing the rules for your campaign, a short rest is 1 hour, not 30 minutes.

Just bringing up the point since it's relevant.
Svirfneblin Magic feat for deep gnomes gives them Nondetection (3rd level abjuration spell) that they can cast at will.
Warlocks have the Armor of Shadows invocation which lets them cast Mage Armor at will.
With those you can recover your Arcane ward in a few seconds to a little over a minute.
