Homebrew classes. Literally the only thing keeping my groups from migrating here is lack of homebrew classes. I understand that preventing people from copying the fighter verbatim is a huge concern, but hopefully it can be done :)
Since I am not likely to post again (I tend to stay away from any forum - I love DNDBeyond as a site, though, and will continue to use it), I'll drop some minor feedback in the post script here since I'm on a roll today.
P.S. 1: PHB/DMG are appropriately priced (I would say too high for an online ebook if it wasn't for the excellent way you guys implemented it - both integrating to character sheets and the chapter breakdown with clickable links) - but could we get a drop in price on the other sources? They feel useful, sure, but too niche to warrant the price-tags for me and mine. Not by much, and of course we could just buy the relevant features (like aasimar), but it would be nice nonetheless.
P.S. 2: Minor request: perhaps this is already implemented, apologies if it is not, but could we get a "search the PHB for keyword" bar above the chapter view? I see the "Search Everything", so something like that, but limited to just the book we have open?
P.S. 3: Minor request: long-form book view? I want to be able to scroll the entire book, as if it was a PDF, but with all of your wonderful site navigation links implemented. That way I could say to my DM, "PHB, 244" - and he could open his hardback PHB IRL and bam, there it is.
P.S. 4: Minor request related to P.S. 3: page numbers when viewing source material would be wonderful.
P.S. 5: Also, is there any way you guys could partner with brick-n-morter stores / physical book sales to get a discounted Beyond PHB or vice versa (like "type in code in the back" or whatever)? If there are some things like that going on, I am not aware. Would love to be rewarded for buying twice with a loyalty or partner discount or something. I HAVE to have a physical copy! :D
P.S. 6: Custom Item Creation - Items that the "DM sees" because they are in his DMG are typically considered "known" by players sitting around most tables. Custom Item Creation is not robust enough to account for the various items a player might acquire through *other players or DMs*. So I think, if this is pay-for content, that it should not be. I should be able to add a Rod of the Pact Keeper +1 - found in the DMG - because my DM says I acquired it. While I understand that this logic could be applied to a lot of decisions, this particular one only serves to hinder play. For example, ask yourself: does the player have the tools needed to continue a campaign regardless of what core content the DM uses? -- A player not being able to search the stats of a Goblin because they do not own a monster manual is not the same thing - a player should not know those stats for a typical immersive experience.
Here's to a bright future, DNDBeyond. Is it Thursday yet?
This requires cooperation with WotC (not LGSs). Some new products are starting to come out with DDB codes, but it isn't likely that previously purchased books will ever be redeemable on DDB.
Content sharing exists. It requires a subscription (master tier) because it is a service. I think that is what you are talking about.
Homebrew classes. Literally the only thing keeping my groups from migrating here is lack of homebrew classes. I understand that preventing people from copying the fighter verbatim is a huge concern, but hopefully it can be done :)
It's on the roadmap. Not trying to be antagonistic but if you had the mindset to think the staff may be tired of hearing about it (as indicated by your thread title) then why did you not consider a forum search? Literally just clicked forum search, typed in homebrew classes as keywords and there are 4 threads on the first page of results or titled this and in each one you can skip to latest page and get the answer that D&D Beyond are working on this very thing you're requesting. Perhaps this is something to consider for future if you think you're about to ask/request something that's likely been asked/requested before.
P.S. 1: PHB/DMG are appropriately priced (I would say too high for an online ebook if it wasn't for the excellent way you guys implemented it - both integrating to character sheets and the chapter breakdown with clickable links) - but could we get a drop in price on the other sources? D&D Beyond already offer some of the lowest prices available and always have some discounts flying around often up to 25% off. So far I've saved over 20-30% off based on prices found elsewhere for other digital products and I haven't been using discount codes. What more do you want, they have to make money, any lower in price and they're basically negating their profit margin. The more they make, the more they have to hire more staff like developers so the features get here faster.
They're already the cheapest place to get the books (without being sketchy or illegal) - so let's not be choosy beggars and demand even more reductions so the company can actually survive and do well, kay?
P.S. 2: Minor request: perhaps this is already implemented, apologies if it is not, but could we get a "search the PHB for keyword" bar above the chapter view? I see the "Search Everything", so something like that, but limited to just the book we have open?

P.S. 4: Minor request related to P.S. 3: page numbers when viewing source material would be wonderful.
It's not implemented but I'm not seeing why it would be necessary, at least for the website anyway, can't say anything about the app as I don't use it. The Search For Everything can filter to Compendium information (Source Books). and if you're using good search terms should be able to get to where you want quite quickly. If you specifically need a specific book search, well, go to the book and click the section you estimate the info to be in and use the Find function in your browser - it does the exact same thing and nobody needs to code things up.
Page numbers would be useful, I do agree.
However, there are compendium navigation improvements on the roadmap which may address all of this.
Again, a forum search would have gotten you this answer. It's been discussed to death.
Brick and mortar stores have no say in that. It's up to WotC who publish and own the content. To be honest doing this for any sourcebook is going to be very difficult just because of how it is all set up. I'm not explaining it fully: the answers are plentiful on here, just do a search and take a read. It is something they are trying for Essentials Kit which is an adventure and a new type of starter kit which provides a code to unlock the adventure on here plus get a discount off core books. Go google it if you need to.
However it's extremely unlikely this would be something to implement for already released books. It's the type of thing that can only really apply on new books and only with a lot of planning and discussion with WotC.
I don't think I understand you. You go on about Custom Item Creation then mention non-custom items like Rod of the Pact Keeper and then go on as if without the ability to make custom items like the rod of pact keeper (despite it not being a custom item - have I mentioned your post males no sense to me?) is a hinderance to gameplay. Which is beyond bonkers: every single person with the intelligence to use this site (don't mean this as an insult way, I mean like how a young child might not or somebody with a learning disability etc) has the ability to play a full game of D&D as either player or DM without paying D&D Beyond a penny. Because there are Basic Rules which are available to everyone and can be used with your character sheet which contain the rules of play, classes, magic items, backgrounds, spells, monsters, and more including rules for both player and the DM. The full source books like PHB, MM and DMG just offer more options and detail but are not necessary.
If you have a physical copy of a book then most of the options can be homebrewed for private use for free. When in a campaign your homebrewed items are shared with each other, automatically.
You can get a Master Tier Subscription and when in a campaign you can enable it so everyone in the campaign can share their purchased content with each other. It's incredibly cheap too. Plus, if nobody wants to get that and there's a non-free item the DM wants to share with you they can make a private homebrew copy in literally a copy of clicks, which, being homebrew, is automatically shared with everyone.
Finally for mundane items you can just make those ad hoc right from your sheet by going to the inventory and adding a custom item. You can fill in the name, weight, gold value and enter description and notes. I often use this for spell components that cost, I make an item and in the description I detail the components needed for the spell, and in the notes I enter the spell it is a component for and mark it (C) to remind me if that spell consumes the component. Some are "packs" for spell that need multiple components and some are individual for components that might be used for multiple spells (like fleece or diamonds) or could have other uses. Even if you later reduce quantity to 0 it stays on the sheet unless you choose to remove it. So, if I cast a spell I can quickly skim read the notes column for the spell and see if I have components left for it and if I do, reduce the quantity.
So, really struggling to understand what request you're making: the site allows you copy items, lets you share non-free content and lets you make custom items quickly on the sheet and all of this could be discovered by spending a couple of minutes (tops) doing a forum search.
