I would like some function where in my character builder I could preset up my character for advancement. IE: level 4 you get to pick a feat or improve ability score, I would like to be able to pick that option now, and it not effect me until I get to that level.
Sorting characters into folders is a planned feature (and there are already extensions that can do it). When that happens you can have different level versions of the same character in one folder.

What Davedamon suggests is exactly what I do. I make Character Name and then also Character Name 12 Level Plan

I also just pre-level mine with a copy. While I admit that such a feature would be useful, I think it would get too little use to be implemented.
