Still no fix. My suggestion is to tweet at folks like Bad Eye Adam and other dnd beyond people with high profile positions. They need to know that this matters to people. It's hard to show the numbers for how important something that can't be done is. For me, it has meant that I just don't build divine soul sorcerers.
It's a bit concerning that this post was marked as "Feedback." Since this ability is part of the rules for the sub-class, wouldn't this be considered a bug and not a feature request? Does this mean that this bug now has lower priority?...
I payed for the ability to build Divine Soul Sorcerers in D&D Beyond. It does not work as defined by the rules.
This is not acceptable for me. If I wanted to use a half-baked Character Builder, there would be cheaper ways to do so.
It is easy enough to add if you have the divine soul on DDB. If there are cheaper tools that work anywhere as well as DDB, no one will blame you for using them. And the builder is at least 95% baked.

It would be a bug if DDB supported the feature and it didn't work, but since they never supported this aspect of the feature in the first place it is a request. And yes, this means that it has a lower priority than a bug since they want to make sure that what they have built is working properly before they build something new.
Of course some bugs (as with favorite enemy for example) go years without getting fixed anyway.
If you want you can now make a homebrewed version of the Divine Soul that has a “replacement” feature for the original Divine Magic that allows the player to select any spell from the combined Cleric and Sorcerer spell lists.
It looks to me like the Divine Soul now suffers from the exact same issue. You are granted certain spells, but those spells are intended to be swappable after level 1. It's HUGE for the sorcerer class, given their really limited spells known.
Hopefully, with this being an issue for Tasha's content, they can figure out a fix.
Of course, if they had worked on this sometime in the last 2 YEARS then when it came out in Tasha's they would have been able to just say "no problem, we just use the divine soul sorcerers fix!"

This function is now being developed (finally) and should come out this quarter.
Then at some point this quarter, hopefully there will be news. As of right now, not so much.
I certainly do wish and hope it happens, but you know the old saying about wishing in one hand and do something else in the other and seeing which hand will fill up faster....
+1 for this. This is hampering my DS sorc in a bad way due to the already limited spell selection. Please fix. For now I'm just pretending CLW is Healing Word.
Just started playing and am super new to DnD Beyond so I thought I was doing something wrong. Come to find out it's been an issue for a WHILE now lol. Makes me feel a little better, and also a little worse. Hopefully this gets fixed soon, but for the meantime I'm just use my imagination and pretend CLW is Healing Word as well.

They advertised functionality for Divine Soul characters. When I bought this content, there was no mention of missing rules for this class.
So from my point of view this is a functionality I payed for.
This means this a bug - or worse something a payed for years ago and still wasn't delivered.
Agreed, I feel the same.

There are fixes, but I did not buy the content, to implement the rules myself.

And we have heard it:
Fun y how this promise does not fill me with optimism and joy.

Benediction to all, and to all a good fight!
Same issue for me
