I am making a set of Chain Mail that is meant to be used by Owlin Only that allows the wearer to add their Full Dex bonus to their AC. When equipped and attuned, the armor is only using the base AC for Chain Mail, +1 cause that is also one of the bonuses I already added. But even though in the Basic Information I have chosen "Full Modifier" under Dex Bonus, it is not adding the PC's Dex bonus. I thought it might be an issue where it needs to be added under Modifiers after its basic Information is saved, but none of the options really allow me to do that
- The option "AC Max Dex Modifier" felt like a pretty straight forward option, but does not appear to be the right thing. If anyone knows what exactly that is supposed to do i would love to know
- the "Armored Armor Class" option would work, guess, but it does not allow you to choose an option to directly connect the bonus to your Dexterity modifier, so that would work if i have to cause the character is already at max dexterity so it wont be changing at all, but for uses in the future.
i would like to know if there is a way to achieve what i am doing that i am just missing.
Modifier: Set->Subtype: AC Max Dex Armored Modifier->Fixed Value: 6
After that you must re-save the entire magic item using the main [SAVE CHANGES] button under Basic Information or the system will not pick up the new update. After that it can take up to 20 minutes for those changes to push through to the character sheet/builder.
When i look at the Subtypes, I do not see "AC Max Dex Armored Modifier". I tried to search for it by isolating it, but it only shows "AC Max Dex Modifier". I assume that is what you are referring to? or should it be showing both of those as options?
You shouldn’t have to “search” for it, as soon as I select the Set Modifier it automatically populates the Subtype with that since it’s the very first one in the list. Are you using the Set Modifier, or a different modifier?
Yes. I even made a whole new item just to make sure that it wasn't just the one item, and i have tested it on another character sheet, but it is not properly updating the AC to include DEX

You need to add the following Modifier:

Aha I misread the post and through it was supposed to be added as a Bonus. Thank you.
Well, I have tried that as well, and even gave it several hours to update but that has not worked for me either.
Did you do both that and set it to full under Basic Information? I believe it needs both if I recall correctly.

That’s strange, it should be working. Lemme ask a couple buddies, they might know what’s going on.

I didn't think you could add DEX to heavy armor. Could that be why?

You could also create the armor using Studded Leather as a base then give it a +4 bonus to AC and change the name.
