Level 3 or level 1? Because Rangers don't get Spellcasting until level 2. Just tested a level 2 ranger and it's spellcasting options do indeed become available.

yeah, i figured that out after a while. haha. it is kind of confusing leveling up your character until you realize you have to level the character in 2 different places
I made a level 1 ranger, and there is no place to add spells and spell slots to my character. Please add this.

That's standard 5th edition rules - you have character level and then you have your specific level in each class. :)
