I'm having some trouble figuring out how to get a background's spell list to show. I've made a new background called Field Armorer (see https://www.dndbeyond.com/backgrounds/143393-field-armorer) and have used various other backgrounds as reference but no matter what I do the Spell List will not show up.
The spell list in the description does not get automatically converted from the spell list in the coding.
If you want the Mending and Shatter to show up in the description, you will need to copy a table from something like the Golgari, and then paste it into the description of your feature and change the spells.

I don't think that's quite right. I tried copying everything over again to see if maybe I configured something incorrectly but I'm still not getting it to work.
Even if I make a copy of the Golgari Agent background, that same table with the spells listed doesn't load correctly as seen in the "After Copying Golgari Agent" screenshot above-- only the heading of the table does. The two spells are in the spell list if you go and edit it. The individual spells do not show up as rows in the spell list table in either my background or the Golgari Agent background.
Not a copy of the background, a copy of the table.
Go to the entry page for the golgari, highlight the table, hit copy, then go to the description field of your homebrew, place the curser, and then paste.
I understand how to do that, that's not the issue I'm talking about though. The "Spell List" is an auto generated table determined by the spells you add to the "Additional Spell List" section in the editor. Adding spells to that are how that table is generated-- not by copying and pasting. You can test this yourself by making a copy of the Golgari Agent background and checking to see if that table exist for you (it won't).
There are two other fields but they are for the description only, not the table. Introduction will show up ABOVE the autogenerated table, and EXTENDED DESCRIPTION will show up below the autogenerated table.
I actually tried copying and pasting the table just to see if it would work in either of the fields in the image above and the server throws a 500 error each time, haha.
Just wondering if it has something to do with no owning the spells in the spell list. Using tool tip allows you to link to spells you don't own but maybe the table does not allows you to do that?

I have the legendary bundle and own everything in the marketplace as of today so I don’t think it’s that. Good thought though!
I even tried recreating and re-saving to see if it would help. I haven’t seen it show in quite some time.

This is likely a bug with the builder as something like Golgari Agent (see https://www.dndbeyond.com/backgrounds/golgari-agent) shows the spell list but when copied, the spells no longer show up.
Before Copying Golgari Agent
After Copying Golgari Agent
If you check the editor for the background I've created, you can still see the spell list so the data is actually there.

Just to inform that the bug is still there for me.
There for me too...
