I'd love to hear that from an official source because, regardless of "working" I would like to have the compendium content available and, if it isn't releasing for another 2.5 months, there's not a good reason to force a vendor to have a working prototype this early.
Keep your fingers crossed for another week or 2. I have a good feeling that we'll be getting a revamp with Tasha's with the Class Feature Variant introduced, not to mention the guilds/faction/piety build up from the previous books
I get that it takes time to add features, but...2 and 1/2 years? Come on guys. I shouldn't have to use a "work-around" to get the features I want. I'm a top tier subscriber, and have purchased everything in the marketplace for my account. This is something I want. I dont want to spend 45 minutes creating a homebrew option. Your first reply was March 1, 2018, claiming it would be added. So...add it.
Your delivery is blunt, but you're not the only top tier subscriber who owns everything. Try to be respectful, the D&D Beyond team is fairly small as far as I'm aware, and it can take time to get these features included.
I'm very excited for Boons to be added, and I hope that perhaps they will be added when the entire shared D&D Play Space is inevitably added.
I believe it was addressed in either a Dev Update or something... Currently there are very few characters on DnD Beyond at lvl 20, meaning that there is no real reason for the Dev Team to work in this with a high priority. Especially since there is a simple solution via homebrew feats.
I know you feel like "why does I pay monthly for this feature I want which doesn't appear", well simple; there's thousands of people also paying monthly for the features they want to appear... And they want other features than you do... That's how it works for companies like this... Sorry mate.
I'm a developer. Which boons would be hard to implement? Looks pretty easy to me. They won't implement it because of the low ROI.
From what I can tell, they seem pretty busy and are probably short staffed. Their main team seems to have been working on newly released books non-stop for at least over a year now, and they were not able to work on fixing old issues much if it was not something super critical.

I think if they released more high level adventures, there would be more level 20s. The only adventure that even remotely touches on level 20 would be Dungeon of the Mad Mage, and that is mostly just a dungeon crawl.

There is no category currently for Boons. Many DMs homebrew them as feats, or customized racial variants or something. However they are not actually feats and therefore they are not allowed to program them as feats. They first have to create an entirely new category of things to add to a sheet that are basically almost like feats, but not actually feats. Then they could create the boons.

They could be easily added to extras, which is where they seem to be cramming everything these day. For example, Sidekicks.

I don’t think so. Extras is for things with stat blocks. Boons don’t have stat blocks. I believe is is intended to be part of the General Features system that they are hoping they can start working on next quarter. .
The one thing i hate about their "data analysis" is that it doesn't take into consideerationt he people who play high fantasy and give tons of magical items to their players and tons of "boons" to their players. if they were to make boons, then they would clearly see a rise in usability in their data. the only reason their data is incorrect in that respect, is the fact that boons aren'T there to begin with. thus they are running in circles in that department. the real question to the dev would then be... how can you count something that is not even there to begin with ?
their only analysis is based on the fact that boons are for level 20 people... that's not enough to warrant not doing the feature, thats not even enough to warrant the analysis that nobody even plays with them. they have no idea how peoples game runs, without that knowledge, nobody can even start analysing that data to see if boons are ok or not.
i'll take myself for exemple... i have 2 groups of 7 people... out of those 14 people, only about 6 uses beyond. and only about 5 actively use it. out of those characters, you'll see that only 2 are level 17+ and i have given them boons ever since level 5. same with the other low level groups. i use boons and charms every times ! now i'm definitley not the only one in this scenario. but they have no way to see this, they have no way to know if people are interested in a feature they don't even have on their site. actually the right way to approach this analysis would be to check in the notes sections and search for the word boons. or literally search for the actual boon names. now they would get a lot more hits on who actually uses them. this is something i dont think they are doing at all. it would take them way too long to start reading every nook and crannies. but to solve this equation, they'd have no choice but to do just that.
"Its hard to solve an equation when you are missing half of it !" - Tony stark and he's quite right. i understand the educated guess, people been wanting VTT for quite some times and dice was leading us there. but saying boons/charms and the likes aren't wanted because there is next to no people having level 20 characters ? that's bullshit of an explanation right there. basically, me think they just don't want to take a chance at creating something that won't be used. and i can understand that, but at least tell us the truth about it.

I've had a fair amount of success creating most of the boons as Homebrew Feats but, after multiple attempts, I've not been able to figure out how to key in a Boon of Fortitude, so It adds the 40 hp. The only one I found in the Homebrew Creations library would only increase my character's hp by 23 points (seemed random to me). I've even tried to copy and edit the Tough feat in the hopes that would be a good starting point, and I've attempted to make a magic item that grants 40 extra HP.
Could someone please help me understand how to create a functioning Boon of Fortitude Feat?

So I actually had this same issue with an item I wanted to give. Unfortunately from what I've found online it seems that that specific modifier (Bonus>hit points. Fixed value: x) does nothing.
To work around that I've just used (Bonus>hit points per level. Fixed value: x) instead. It's not the best work around but I plan on giving it to my group during a very specific part and it will then be consumed and no longer used so i put in a very specific number to that would calculate the hp I want them to have at the level I know they'll be
If you plan on giving this boon specifically to a level 20 character than you have it easy; just put fixed value: 2 so that by level 20 they;ll have the desired 40 hp
So 2021 is almost over and no boons. I wish I would have read these forums before I spent $800 some bucks on everything dnd beyond has to "offer", wish I looked up that their focus is only on ROI. If you only make low level adventures and don't have any lvl 20 stuff of course there wont be many lvl 20s.

ROI?
Return on investment.
