Is there any way to ignore the weight of items that might be put into a Bag of Holding? This is mainly important due to weight/carrying capacity/penalties. Thanks.

After the game, the king and the pawn go into the same box. – Proverb
It is now November, and there is nothing about this update yet. I've taken to improvising with google sheets, but my players hate my spreadsheet because it's touchy and super easy to break.
Inventory Management is still on the roadmap. However, this thread has aged. With new developments continuously in progress, a new thread should be opened to further address these concerns.
Thanks for understanding.

You can manually set the weight of any piece of equipment in your inventory to zero if you choose.
There will be an update that handles containers in some form, but that will be in the future.

Ah! I see the weight override. Thanks. It's clumsy, but it will do for now.

Yup, agreed that it's not ideal, but dealing with containers is definitely on the development list. :)

Any update on this feature?
I'm also eagerly awaiting this update. :-)

All I can tell you at this point is that it is still on the intended development list.
I expect there to be a lot more development activity during 2019 as compared to this year though, with many new features being delivered.

They need to employ more monkeys!

+1 on wanting this.
To start with, just increase character carrying capacity with +500lb while we're having a bag of holding equiped.
Altrazin Aghanes - Wizard/Fighter
Varpulis Windhowl - Fighter
Skolson Demjon - Cleric/Fighter
Im at the point that I NEED this :)
+1 also NEED this. Running a campaign that considers all things and weight of items and coinage is definitely part of that.
Hello it is 2020 now is there an update coming to the bag of holding giving it a separate inventory
What about all containers in general? I actually have an idea for how it might look ideally
Capacity [Sum of all "Pounds Total"]/[Carrying Capacity]
With buttons that say [move to...] along with the [stow/equip] and [remove] buttons
sorry, wrong thread, feel free to remove this
