You know what would be nice? If people like me, who have most of the 5e books, and don’t want to buy them on dndbeyond as well, could redeem them on here , so that they can access the resources they own on the compendium.
The company that owns this website and the company that owns D&D are not the same. This website is more like a fancy online bookstore that only sells D&D and has theses other really cool features to use for free. (The features like the character sheet are free, the actual information in the books is not.)
Think of a physical copy as X-Box and digital as PlayStation. Think of the place you got that paper version of the PHB as one game store, and this website as a similar to Amazon. If you buy a game for X-Box fromone game store, and get a receipt for it, would you expect Amazon to give you a free PlayStation version of the game because you showed them that receipt from GameStop?
Perhaps this is already a thing. I am super new to DnD Beyond.
Is there a way to change the style of character sheet, similar to how you can on Roll20? I really don't like how skills are organized alphabetically. It makes far more sense to organize them by ability.

Not at this time, and honestly, I don't see how it makes more sense to organize by ability, considering that a DM could allow for an Intimidation check to be done by Strength instead. Plus, it's a lot easier to go by alphabetical since it's a matter of "Oh hey, I need intimidate... that's right here." rather than being like "Wait, what ability does Religion use again? It was Wisdom? Wait, Int? Why is it Int?!"

Trying to get your physical content on Beyond is like going to Microsoft and saying "I have a physical Playstation disk, give me a digital Xbox version!"
So, I had an idea for folders or organizers in the My Characters page. I know, being a DM for 4 campaigns, that I have a lot of NPCs and, being a player in 2 more campaigns, I also have my own characters. Overall, I have over 130 characters, and it can get very confusing. Can we place have some sort of way to organize our character sheets into categories or folders or something?

Completely disagree, not everyone thinks like you, but thanks for your input on someone else's request.
The user answered the question (can you do this thing) and then offered a reason as to why they disagreed with the statement about it making more sense to do it the prescribed way. People are allowed to express opinions, especially on feature suggestions, as long as they're respectful about it.

I could reply to tons of questions and so no they don't have that and explain why I don't want that. Pretty damn annoying though.

Although this would be heavenly for the book owners, it doesn't provide any business model for DnDBeyond to operate. As I DM more sessions and come to find myself relying more and more on the digital compendiums, I want very much to support the work they are doing here, and would love to see the physical products more integrated with the digital offerings by Curse.
I really appreciate that they are taking a small step towards this with the most recent WPN promotion where if you pre-order The Mythic Odysseys of Theros from a brick and mortar store, it comes with a 50% code for DnDBeyond ( I love this promotion and have already participated). This is a great way to support local stores over the online conglomerates, because it allows them to compete, even if it is just competing for the business of people who want both the physical and digital copies (like me). I'd love it if this promotion continues (I'd likely participate in most new books) and even extends into existing sources.
I can not imagine I am the first that would like to see spells that are on scrolls in your equipment would show up as available spells in your spells option on the character sheet. Or am I missing something?

I agree, that would be nice. In the meantime I can provide you with this link, I explain how to set it up as both a scroll, and as a Wondrous Item so that it works that way on the character sheet. The Wondrous Item part (so it works the way you want) is a few posts down the list. I hope it helps as a workaround in the meantime.

The DM for our Eberron Campaign allowed my Artificer to also make special Crossbow bolts that were essentially Artificer cantrips empowered. I fire them like regular bolts but on a successful hit, the cantrip spells are activated. Can your method be done in a similar way? And by the way, did you submit your spell scrolls? Can they be found in the homebrew? I will certainly explore the method you used but I am about to start work and we play at 4:30 today...thank you this is awesome!

Happy to help. No I haven’t submitted them, I don’t actually do the trick to convert them to Wondrous Items and they are too close to scrolls to allow publication. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work for your ammo too though.
Does anyone know if there are plans to enable state toggles on character sheets to adjust stats and resistances for when raging/blade-singing/lycanshifted/etc.
We can ofc track it manually but the big benefit of Beyond is that it takes care of things like that so it'd be nice for that automation to be included.

There should be an option for making a Hollow One character.
"Becoming a Hollow One is a supernatural gift (see “Supernatural Gifts” in chapter 7 of the Dungeon Master’s Guide) that bestows upon you the following traits."
Meaning, it's not a race but an addition. Which will come as part of the General Features system, probably. See the Trello Roadmap or the Unofficial Update Document for updates.
I am trying to create an NPC in the character builder who is a Dragon using the Shape Change ability and with the Innate Spellcaster optional rules. This character is intended to be one that is around a lot, so I want to be able to use the character sheet functionality with it for her human form. It's meant to be a long term support character and later on, a surprise villain.
I can't do it.
The character builder does not allow me to add anything I want to the sheet. I need to be able to put the NPC's spells on the sheet, but the controls prevent me from adding spells without a normal spellcasting class that gives access to the spell levels I need. This Dragon has 10 Rogue levels (yes, it's a nightmare, but it should be) and I need to give her the 4 spells that the Charisma bonus allows. I do NOT want to have to add sorcerer levels or whatever to the character on top of the sheet to get the spells, because the character should not have all the other Sorcerer perks, just the Rogue ones.
I tried creating a custom feat. However, the feat creation only allows me to pick specific spells at specific levels. If I want to make another Dragon in humanoid form in the future, I just want to be able to pick the feat and slap on the spells I need. But the Innate Spellcasting Feature does not give a spell list, so I assume all the lists are open. It also has variable numbers of spells of various levels. The Feat creation requires me to set specific levels, specific lists, and a specific number of spells available. If I set it to 9 level 9 spells, I will have too much clutter on the sheet.
What I'm asking for is an NPC option to click that will remove all the validations and controls from the sheet entirely and allow me to put on any number of feats, individual spells, class features, race features, everything onto a sheet without limits. Humans with Tiefling wings, Aarakokra with burrow speeds, Goliaths with Fury of the Small. Chickens with dog legs. Anything.
It would be helpful if the Feat creation would A) Not be buggy and give me 404 errors and B) allow me to put scaling options on a feat.
Basically, I guess I'm wanting the Character Builder to have the ability, with a selection or two, to be as flexible as a sheet of paper and pencil with what I can put on it in the tool. Not for all characters all the time, but just for NPC creation.
I don't want to just grab a stat block out of the book for the humanoid form, because I lose all the cool dynamic calculations I'd want (spell DC, dice roller, etc) and I want to be able to customize NPCs as much as I need to. DDB is great for standard characters and for monsters, but when you need to cross the border between character and monsters, or make customizations it seems to have some gaps.
Has it ever been brought up to add a button to creature pages ‘add to encounter’ or a ‘favorites list’. I was reading waterdeep and saw a character I wanted to use after reading their sheet and thought oh I’d like to add this to a list or encounter without opening it in another tab and having to go start an encounter then search for it.
I'd love the ability to take an item in a character's equipment, and give it to another character in the campaign.
This comes up often, and I find it cumbersome to remove it from one person, then to have to search for it again and add it to the next person. If I have any customization to the name (unless its a homebrew), it also looses these.
Is this something that we might ever see implemented?

There should be an option for making a Hollow One character.
Damion Wild, Mark Of Storm Half-Elf, Druid (Circle Of Wildfire) 5, Monk 3
Make a feature where we can make custom vehicles.
Hello! I am just a relatively new D&D player, who also likes SimplePlanes and War Thunder.
My characters are:
"Becoming a Hollow One is a supernatural gift (see “Supernatural Gifts” in chapter 7 of the Dungeon Master’s Guide) that bestows upon you the following traits."
Meaning, it's not a race but an addition. Which will come as part of the General Features system, probably. See the Trello Roadmap or the Unofficial Update Document for updates.
