why on the warlock is only one otherworldly patron available to select (the fiend)??
During the beta test of D&D Beyond, they'll only be including content that is freely available from Wizards of the Coast, including the D&D 5th edition SRD , D&D 5th edition Basic Rules & Elemental Evil Companion. The beta will not include additional content from a Commercially Released Book or Supplement.
All of the remaining published content from the PHB, DMG, MM and other D&D 5th edition books will be added to D&D Beyond for product release - the cost for accessing this material has not yet been announced.
A couple things about the Manage Spells popup: I would like it if there were more distinction between various spell levels, or at the very least, more distinction between cantrips and non-cantrips. I would also like the ability to undo adding a spell (in other words, be able to remove it immediately after adding the spell). Also, it would be useful to be able to find out what the spell does within that window, perhaps by clicking it or hovering over it to reveal a full description. Also, concerning the Load More button at the bottom of the list: I don't like how whenever I click the "Add" button, the list reverts to its original length, as if I had never pressed the Load More button, which is really annoying when picking multiple high-level spells.
Finally, some spell feedback specific to bards: I was able to select my Additional Magical Secrets in the Class Features area, but I would have liked to be able to choose those spells from the Add Spells popup. Also, the Additional Magical Secrets spells are listed separately from normal bard spells, and they are listed as "At-Will" (even though neither of them were cantrips). This is both incorrect and confusing, because these spells will still expend spell slots as normal, although they layout and "At-Will" text makes it seem like they don't. I suggest that the Additional Magical Secrets spells be listed in the same area as "normal" bard spells.
EDIT: Also, I don't like how all spells (even ones that don't involve any attack roll opr saving throws) have a number and an ability listed next to them in the Spells section of the character sheet, especially when those numbers arent labeled.

You can search by spell level, if you type "8th level" into the search box the list will filter to show only the available 8th level spells. Granted the list will reset once you click add so you will have to retype "8th level" (or copy and paste from the clipboard) if you are adding multiple spells of the same level.
The devs have stated that they are actively working on an overhaul of the spell and equipment management so hopefully we will see that before launch.
This maybe a potential bug, on my 19th level monk, I have a Dagger +2 equipped. It shows the martial arts damage fine. However, there is a problem with the attack and damage calculation. It seems that the Dagger's bonus is being counted twice. So instead of being +13 to attack and +7 to damage ((Level 19) proficiency bonus of +6 and (Dex 20) +5), it is listed as +15 to attack and +9 to damage.
Edited: It seems this is happening with other +2 weapons as well (at least a monk character) as I added a Shortsword +2 and get the same results.
Edited: After testing on a bard character and a fighter character, it seems that the error is only happening on the monk character.
Edited: I tested again on another monk character and recreate the previous one including all of its items and was able to duplicate the error. It seems that the Staff of Thunder and Lightning is giving a permanent +2 to attack and damage when you equip it to all attacks not just for the staff. +2 bonus is only when you wield it as a quarterstaff, making it a +2 weapon (+2 to attack and +2 to damage).
This may have been reported already, but the warlock's damage bonus from agonizing bast doesn't appear with the Eldritch blast's damage.
On a related note, would it be possible to list an attack's damage as well as the to hit in the header in the Attack panel? For that matter, would it be possible to at least highlight or bold a spell's damage in the listing? The layout of spells in 5E is a pet peeve of mine... it's sometimes hard to see what a spell actually does amid all the text.

So I am testing out the character builder and I'd like to say first it looks very nice. I have noticed a few issues though.
First, when I initially get to the screen to choose my class and proficiencies, when I first open proficiencies the selection boxes did not show up. I hit next going on through the builder and then backed up and looked again and the selection boxes showed up.
Ability scores worked well, no issues for me using the manual method.
When I get to the Equipment section, I am having quite a few issues:
First I got to see the screen that shows the starting equipment and gold at first and went on to start adding items first from the starting equipment since it did not go through screens to allow me to make the choices for the starting equipment. I then tried to go back to look at the listed items for the starting equipment but it just sits there. I backed out of the builder and went to my characters and chose the character I had been creating and selected Edit. I can next through my character and see my choices were saved but when I get back to the equipment section I am no longer able to see any of the the equipment related screens when clicking next. After 2 clicks it moves over to what's next without ever allowing me to see or edit the equipment.
I am able to view the character sheet and use manage equipment from there but still have no way to see the list of starting equipment. to finish adding it and other items that were shown there from my background choice.
I am working from my desktop computer using Opera 46.0.2597.57 (PGO) on Windows 10
I have also run into the same issue with the equipment selection on Chrome and Edge, i.e. I am unable to view or edit equipment from the character builder, only from the character sheet.
Created a random character (probably the quickest way to start playing), but it came out with no equipment!
The core book already provides a suggested list of initial equipment, why not take it from there? It's at the beginning of each class' description.
Also, selecting initial equipment is not intuitive from how it's today. First item on the list is "Acid"... no, give me weapons the character is proficient with. Then armors a then a pack. That's it.

PS: My random character is a Paladin Halfling :-P
They're working on a thorough revision of that system.

Current: I clicked on "Create Character" from the homepage. I was prompted to login via twitch. I failed to login with the proper username and password a few times. When I finally logged in successfully, I approved D&D beyond accessing my twitch profile. Then I was taken to a 404 page.
Expected: I would expect to be taken to the build character start page.
This is probably mentioned by someone already but as i cant find it in all these posts. Sorry for repeating it :)
can there be an addition to the thrown property of items (i see damage and to hit on for instance a javelin, but that is when it is used as melee, as the bonusses don't add up), same goes for light weapons using in an offhand (maybe a small entry next to the light or thrown propperty?) or in the attacks as a seperate block?
1. [suggestion] will add my voice to those asking for spell descriptions in the manager while you are selecting spells, as well as the screen to not refresh to the top once you have selected a spell.
2. [bug] When I open the hamburger menu while viewing my character sheet, the slide menu from the character sheet bleeds over into the menu I just opened.
3. [suggestion] Also adding my voice to the revamping of the equipment manager. I know this is something already being worked on, but I will throw my thoughts in here in case you need feedback on the change. Make the list filterable by mundane/magic, weapon/armor/item/transport. Use body slots when equipping including an off-hand feature. Item descriptions in all screens.
4. [suggestion] Have published traits/bonds/flaws to be selectable instead of having to copy/paste from compendium.
That's it for now. Thanks again for letting us provide feedback!

Damage from Unarmed Strike on my Goliath Fighter is calculating as 0+STR modifier.
Extra Damage from Dueling Fighting Style is not applying to Morningstar attack.

Aarakocra display the unarmed strike damage incorrectly. It should be 1d4 + Strength modifier due to their Talon feature.
