Howdy. I was wondering what the usual turn around time for homebrew item from when a user submits a thing to when it get approved or rejected. I know that some entries can be wordy, and there are probably a lot, so I recognize it'll be no quick thing. A guesstimate would suffice. 2 week? 3?
Use the Options tab when you click add modifier. Under options you will have to add each individual option, use this only if you want to currate which choise they may pick. OR you can use:
I'll jump in and give a quick update. We're currently in active development on the enhancements. I'd expect to see a post from Badeye this week or next, summarizing the changes that we're going to be rolling out, and a change-log from me detailing the changes (in fact, a couple of small, preparatory changes got deployed last week). The change-log will list all of the changes made, even any smaller ones that we roll out in advance of the larger update.

Thank you so much for the update. An open dialogue always helps. Looking forward to seeing what updates are in store.
Apologies in advance if this has already been brought up, but 28 pages of forum is a tough slog.
Will there be the ability in an upcoming update to remove weapon properties when creating homebrew weapons? For example, I've got a draft of a wrist dagger (very much Assassin's Creed styled), but can't remove the 'Thrown' property when creating it with the dagger as the base weapon. Or a campaign-specific magic crossbow which doesn't use ammunition (or require loading), but can't remove these properties either.
It's not exactly a deal breaker, just the notes look a little messy when it says "Notes: Cannot be thrown, Damage, Combat, Finesse, Light, Thrown". I know I could create is as a Wonderous Item and add all the properties and damage manually, but that seems like so much more effort than using a modifier to remove the single property.
*Edit - Additional - Linking 'Thrown' to the 'Range' property as well. Silly to remove one without the other.

I would make it a base item of a yklwa or something of that type. Then modify the damage type and traits manually
The irony of a yklwa still having the thrown properly. 😄 Good idea though, I suppose I could reskin a similar weapon and add everything manually. Would that affect character proficiency bonuses though? (I'll need to play around to find a stopgap solution, but hopefully the option to completely customise will be available some day.)
Ya forgot about that. What about using a shortsword as a template. The main thing you’re looking at here is martial or simple weapon proficiency. Keep that in mind. They are not letting us publish base items right now but you can make anything in private.
Recently I've had a few submissions for homebrew accepted while others rejected. Is there somewhere I can go to see what was wrong with the entry/why it was rejected? Having an entry rejected without being able to see why makes correcting or avoiding any perceived problems with it difficult.
Something i think might be good is adding a secret section on magic items for DMs (for cursed items and artifacts that have multiple stages or secret abilities).
I'm having an issue with adding spell casting to my subclass. I see the option to give the subclass spell casting, but when I go to create a character, I don't have the add spells option. has this not been implemented yet, or am I doing something wrong.

Yes! That would be very nice. Also for cursed items so that I can give an item to a PC and they think, "Ooh, shiny!" until the curse kicks in :D

How do I choose what skills get expertise if I equip a magic item that gives Rogue's Expertise?

I made a Wrist Dagger, people seem to like it.
