Not sure if this is something you can already do if you have a subscription or anything, but I thought it might be cool to allow players who are in the same campaign to add buffs/spell effects to other players character pages for them instead of each player having to add it themselves.
It would be really awesome if we could have a tracker on XP to see what was added. I keep forgetting if I added the XP I earned or not and I have to go back and track my notes!
I don't know if this has already been suggested, but I think that in your "equipment" section of your character sheet, there should be a button, or a way to denote items that go into a bag of holding, portable hole, or handy haversack if you happen to have one. As it is right now the weight from the items you have, are just added in a total. However, if you have one of those items you've likely put a large amount of stuff in it. It would be handy to be able to mark what items went in it, or have a separate section of your equipment to sort items into.
Objects that can be used as containers should have subfolders so people can keep track of what is where - maybe some could have magical effects, like the weight of an item drops to zero when added under the bag of holding
Suggestion for another subject: when using the Customize action feature, it would be nice to have an "Override Hit" field, the same way it can be done when customizing an already existing Weapon or Spell attack. I was working on creating a magic bow that can transform into a double bladed sword for one of my players, but I could not find the way to provide its character sheet with all the attack options (including magic bonuses in the math) without creating two different items.
Suggestion for the game log: as a DM I would love to be able to have the game log open in the sourcebook rather then just on the campaign page, awesome work! I am looking forward to switching away from roll20

I understand where you are coming from on this, and I'd like that too.
On the other hand, that sounds like a lot of work for them to have it remember which campaign log to show us when on pages not part of that campaign.
I think it would be really useful if the classes that had to choose spells on a daily basis could create set spell loadouts that they could then choose between to reset their current spells after they take a long rest.
I think it would be fantastic if there was a toggle, like for resting, for dawn and dusk resets of magic items.
I also would like to see, probably on the features tab, a place that contains all of your charges on all of your items so you wouldn't have to go in and out of the item every time you refresh or use a charge. I currently use a spreadsheet for these suggestions but would be nice to have it all available on the website.
I like all the ideas I'm seeing in this thread, but you guys do realize that this was just a suggestion post I made for the developers to see and possibly implement. You would probably be better served creating your own thread about your suggestions or posting them in the appropriate Dev posts.
I think that a good idea for D&D Beyond is to have a way to get the books in the app for free if you already have the physical copy, I feel some, including me, would enjoy being able to read the book while out and about without having to bring the whole book with them and just read from their phone, and I feel lots of people don’t wish to buy the same book twice, so if you’d be able to find a way to implement this into your app I’d be grateful

It won’t happen. WOTC (the makers of D&D) and DDB are separate companies. DDB pays WOTC licensing fees to put the “books” on their platform. How is DDB supposed to pay their staff for all the work they do if they provide the books for free? Are you saying their staff should work for nothing? Then there is the fact that there is no current way to verify purchases of the books. Even IF they eventually developed a way to do so (which is highly unlikely), it would apply only to future purchases, not to previous purchases, because books sold before the change wouldn’t have the code or whatever other marker they developed. Also, if they ever implemented such a system, the costs of the physical books would go up. Oh, and Fantasy Grounds and Roll20 would also want in on such an arrangement. It’s just not feasible.
I think everyone would love this and have thought or suggested it or even complained or talked about it with their friends at one point. Probably will never happen unless WotC buys it out and even then there will still be a fee for a digital copy of the book with your hardcopy purchase.
What my group does is a friend and myself take turns GMing either different or midway through a campaign so we can get some character time. This has been great for switching gears midcampaign and taking some different creative direction with it. For the books we typically have one of us purchase the hard copy of the book and one of us purchase the digital copy on DNDB. That way we only have to purchase each book once ourselves and with the 5 or 6 dollar membership we and all people in our campaign have access to all of that material. Saves a bit of money and gives everyone the benefit.

Currently there isn't a system in place for temporary effects (like spells and buffs), but they are planned.
I like this idea, it would also work for bardic inspiration battle maneuvers.
Ah very cool! Look forward to seeing them implemented in the future!

The Bag of Holding, when equipped, should create an additional inventory category under Equipment that does not count toward your carrying capacity
Agreed. That feature is planned.

It would be nice if we could set preferred pronouns for our characters.
??? The only pronoun the character sheet uses is "you". Does your character not identify as the addressee of their features?
Because you can already set their gender and have the table use whatever pronoun you want. There is nothing to add.
