Here's one that just came up for us. In our current ToA campaign we are using the variant encumbrance rules to try to keep weight of gear carried to a more reasonable level. One of the characters has a bag of holding, but there is no way to notate which items are in it. It would be great if we had a way to add items to a bag of holding and have both the adventurer's encumbrance and the bag of holding's content calculated correctly. Of course, there is the question of how to account for two bags of holding...
What I would suggest is making a second character on DnD Beyond solely for the contents of the bag of holding assuming you have a spare slot you don't mind giving up. Setting the STR to 33 I think sets the encumbrance to pretty much 500lbs. Then setting the weight of a item on your own character sheets to 0 while it is in the bag. That just allows you to have a visual reminder you still have the item. Just realised that DnD Beyond only lets you set your max STR to 30 so you'll be limited to 450lbs so you wouldn't be able to do it that way. So you would need to go Goliath with a STR of 17 to get 510lbs if you were wanting to do it.
The other way would to use something similar to the encumbrance calculator I've linked below that someone set up. It's got most items in it but will be missing the campaign only items but you can easily put them in.

You can set the weight of certain items to 0 to account for them being in the Bag of Holding, and then make mention of their location in “Notes” all under “customize” when you tap/click the item in your equipment. You can also even organize them by adjusting the name to read “Bag of Holding- [item]” or something, I do it with emojis like this:

No problem with slots, I think I will give that a try. Great idea - way to think outside the box!!
I am in a homebrew 5e campaign that combines aspects of 5e and Vampire Masquerade. I want a way to share feats I made to be shared with fellow players in a campaign or directly to their accounts. Getting homebrewed creations kicked off the forum without a way to share those things with the intended persons is very frustrating. Sure, they can make it themselves. Or one person who made it correctly could just freaking share it with the intended person. FFS.
If a DM makes a feat or other homebrew item for their campaign, they should be able to share it with their campaign without getting hassled about it being campaign specific.

If a DM (or player) makes any homebrew (including feats) and keeps it in their “collection” then it is automatically shared with every player in campaigns with that person. An PC in every DnDBeyond campaign with that person will be able to add those homebrews to their characters. Those homebrews do not need to be published.

Interesting.Wish I had known that before making myself look dumb! So no matter if a DM or PC makes it, it will be shared?
As long as they keep it in their “collection” then yes, they will be shared. If they remove it from “collection” but keep it in “creations” then it will not be shared until they add it back into their collection again.
I love your character sheet integration it makes all the rules so much easier to understand.
However I would love to see the conditions indicated somewhere obvious after it's been marked.
Additionally, I would love to see any conditions that will affect my spell casting or attack dice roll, such as blessed or bardic inspiration, to show up as a condition and reflected on my actions.
To be able use the UA content that was taken out, like the sorcery bloodlines.
Due to an agreement between WotC and DDB, if UA content is archived, it is no longer supported and is removed from the site. Us here on the client side don't know the details of the agreement, only that if WotC says get rid of it, Beyond has to get rid of it.
Which sucks and is very frustrating.
So are speed limits, but the law is the law.
Not a good comparison. As one is needless self limiting of the program itself, the other a safety hazard. If it was a UA class or race later put into a book, I would understand. Otherwise, I do not understand the motive for removing a UA entry, especially when there is an option to include or not include the UA in setting up a source for character creation. To remove the UA entries is not customer friendly action, as it limit the options of the user, which I dislike greatly. I do not see the justification for it.

The only justification we need is Wizards of the Coast doesn't want Beyond to offer archived or abandoned UA, and so Beyond has to abide by that as part of their agreement.

Trying to get your physical content on Beyond is like going to Microsoft and saying "I have a physical Playstation disk, give me a digital Xbox version!"

Well, the people who own the intellectual property rights told the people who run this website to take it down. The people who own this website do what their told so they don’t loose their license to distribute materials published by the people who own the intellectual property rights.
They are both “Don’t do this or you could lose your license.”

Which doesn't make sense to me. We all lose out because of it. It is like shooting themselves in the foot.
They have decided that they do not want that product to officially represent them. That is their right. You do have options however. You can either homebrew your own private version of any archived UA subclasses.
The other alternative is to make a character for any current UAs and hold onto them in case they get archived so you can use them later. As long as you never remove the subclass, you can keep using it. So you can make a human Psi Knight now and when they archive it you have one to use. Start playing a Tabaxi fighter, hit 3rd level and decide you want a Psi Knight, make a clone of yours, change the race to Tabaxi, fix your Ability scores and away you go.

I'm wondering if a user could serve as an archivist in this manner, preserving the archived UAs and distributing them by sharing characters.

Hi, somebody had the username "Kanon" so I had to put "Beyond" after it. Whoever had that username has made a powerful enemy. My Dandwiki account can be found at the link provided. I work on a big ol' campaign setting called Broadbarrel. You should check it out. Peace be with you, punk!
I would love to add notes to adventures. I rarely run adventures as written. It would be so useful to have all my notes written in the adventure itself.

This thread sees a lot of posts that really aren't on topic. That's a shame.
Yeah, but at least now I know that the best way to lure a troll somewhere is to hide some abandoned UA content and they will come running! ;-) ;-)
