1. Better campaign tools/Virtual Tabletop: If this sort of thing isn't in development, or at least on the road map, I'd really love to know why. In today's world, it's far more common to have friends who live far away. I'm sure that there are a good number of people who would -- if they could be involved in a game, with friends, from their own house -- go from the demographic of 'I only have a few hours per week to game, and driving there and back is a half hour prospect which cuts that limited time down further, so I guess I'll hope for more free time later' bucket to the 'Holy cow, I can totally spare three or hour hours on X night every week, and 90 percent of that can be spent actually playing' one. A good tip for helping to ensure that your product -- this site -- lasts a long, long time and flourishes is to make it completely indispensable and able to stand on its own. Being able to hold far more campaign information, dice rolling tubes and some sort of map sharing are a must, but those would certainly make this product indispensable to me.
2. Freaking spell points, man: How about a simple box that says 'SPELL POINTS'. That would be enough, along with the ability to override the 'spells memorized' limits.
3. The ability to override pretty much anything on the character sheet: Lots of homebrew folks in these here parts. D&D players have almost ritualized changing rules to suit their group since far before there was a computer in every home and a phone glued to every free hand.
I'm *this* close to buying the whole bundle, this being after I've already bought the PHB, DMG, MM, Sword Coast, and the Guide to Everything. And I'll preface this by saying that I can only speak for myself, but I'd pay twice the subscription fee per year, gladly, to help fund those efforts.
If this site doesn't give these things in the near future, then (and perhaps it was meant to be this way all along, I honestly don't know) it will remain little more than a really, really good reference site for me. That's ok. But these are my visions of a pie in the sky.
Agreed on the Windows App. Having a Universal Windows app has absolutely nothing to do with mobile, and everything to do with Surface. Sure you can use the website, but you can do that on your Ipad also, so why have an iOS app for the ipad?
At this point, the mobile side of the equation is really not the main user's point for the app. My guess is that most app usage will be on some sort of tablet at the table.
I use my surface when I DM and to have an offline app, with eventual campaign tools would be outstanding.
I was gonna reply, but some people just don't get it. Once they announce an offline windows app, then i will buy in, till then i have enough ways to build a character.
1. offline windows app
2. Dice Roller (though i did see something on the main page about one)
3. best of all the VTT's mashed together for here.

I just want to tell everyone "happy gaming" and actually mean it. Whatever your game is, just have fun with it, it is after all, just a game.
I wish Curse/Twitch would buy Roll20 and Discord and then combine all products into the ultimate VTT!!!!

Roll the dice and play the game, I’m not here to listen to your politics.
“But this isn’t right. You’re meant to charge in, sword drawn, banner flying-that’s what all the other knights did!” “Yeah, right before they burst into flame.”

Something similar might be closer to becoming a reality. I wish Bouncy Rock would develop Tale Spire to use the Discord Rich Presence SDK for player invites and media chat. Then I wish Curse would release a public D&D Beyond API so that Bouncy Rock could provide player hit point information, sight distance for proper player sight occlusion (Darkvision/Devils Sight), and display other player attributes in the mouse over player UI. (Basic information shown in the D&D Beyond Twitch video) This would aid in hit point management and automate how far a player can see in the VTT and maybe whose turn it is so the player mini pedestals can light up. (I'm not sure how they plan to do initiative tracking yet) I'm really looking forward to the December Tale Spire stream and when they release the beta early next year I think a lot of people will be trying to use D&D Beyond to play it. I'm hoping the developers at Curse notice the Tale Spire beta and try it out too. Bad Eye said in the Nerdarchy Live Chat #160 that the public API is slowly creeping up on their feature priority list. I hope the Tale Spire beta shows the Curse developers how popular and amazing a Public API would be for D&D Beyond.
I personally would love to either see a complete VVT from D&D beyond or a way to integrate directly with Roll20/Fantasy Grounds. Currently adding the information that isn't/won't be available on Roll20 is difficult and doesn't translate well sometimes.
Playing a Druid and shape changes with constant damage adjustments depending on what beast I am, I've added a lot of attack's just for all of them.
its funny how for a few years the top was Ventrilo and Team speak, and now everyone just forgot about those and its all about discord. then in afew years its gonna be all another software that does exactly what discord did and people will have forgotten about discord as if it never existed. The same way people already forgot about skype and video call conference and seem to preffer only voice chat somehow.
oh well, i do agree that we need a place that does it all in one fell swoop. having a need for 4 different apps to do it is just a mess to setup for anything streamy or even just playing with friends. I was hoping Beyond would be doing that, but i guess its not going to happen now.
It is unfortunate because i was hoping to see how they would do making a virtual table top with videos and microphone support.
those i know i don't like for many reasons. Roll20 is way too hard to actually understand, its far from being intuitive. Fantasy ground is awesome as a virtual tabletop, but the clutter on screen makes it almost impossible to play unless you are on numerous displays. i'm looking at those two, and all i can say is that virtual table top seems only good at theater of the mind or showing a small image once in a while.
i definitely wanted to know how beyond would top those with its simplicity.

Honestly, the only thing stopping me from buying the bundle and a subscription for D&D Beyond is the lack of homebrew for races and classes. I already own every book in the bundle and would have no issues re-buying the books on here and paying a subscription.
However, I am not willing to tell my friends, hey lets throw out or last years worth of work and campaign because I really want to use D&D Beyond, but they don't support your class (and one dude's race), so we have to build all new characters with a much more limited scope then I let you use the first time.
Maybe once we finish our campaign in about a year or two, then we can switch to D&D Beyond, but to be honest if in a year or two if they still don't have homebrew support, I wouldn't switch to using it out of spite.
EDIT: Yes, I know this is coming, and I will love when its here, but it's not here now and that's my only holdup.
What has been said is that homebrew races are currently being worked on and homebrew subclasses are a fairly high priority and in the plan.
Homebrew classes are not currently planned. Nobody said that D&D Beyond will never do homebrew classes.
However Badeye and the other staff have to be careful - they can't promise something that they know they don't currently plan to do - will homebrew classes happen? Possibly at some point, but don't assume that they will, because they might not.
Good point Stormknight, what i was thinking though was something similar to a character sheet, but used for homebrew Class/sub-class, weapons, feats, armor, monsters, etc. If you have a subscription, then you could create these things for your homebrew campaign. Not sure how hard it would be to do all that as I am not a programmer, but i do have a vague, sensory perception of how i think it could work, But that is probably the most dangerous way as i know it's tough to bring someone's vision to reality.
However, with that said, i would much prefer they perfect the current system including the app for IOS/Android (and windows for me) with offline capability.

Honestly, homebrew classes is only useful for sharing and automating some of the checks. All we really need is a fully editable character sheet that allows us to "break the rules" of the game. Sure, it'd be nice to automate the ability and to provide a nice way to share it and to validate the rules, but each of those is solvable in different ways that don't require "homebrew classes".
There are so many cool features, that I would love to see happen, but those two are my most important ones:
1) Combat tracker that allows to rename the combatants (if I have 12 Goblins - I would love to name them, so I know which one was the one, that is almost dying).
And since I am a developer for a 3rd party project: 2) A cool API to add snippets for external projects, so we could place a monster/item/spell block directly in our tool, instead of just linking to the page.
Christmas is close - so please dear Christkind, make it happen :)

I really want a usable printed character sheet. like the one from More Purple More Better.
Tale Spire is looking awesome - I've been following their development for a while!
The integration you mention would be amazing. :)

My wish is for it to be useful for something other than absorbing my disposable income. We have had mobile character sheets since the '70s
An option when homebrew content enabled, that you can select bonus feats.
Example. I want to award my players with bonus campaign feat as an alt reward.

Homebrew classes aren't planned at all, only sub classes.

Oh, that actually means, I probably won't be switching to D&D Beyond... That kinda sucks.
Which i don't get why not as they would be campaign specific or could be shared through the DBDBeyond store (if that ever becomes a thing).
