They aren't going to do that without WotC's help, and WotC isn't at all likely to give that help.

Well hopefully they might consider it due to licensing and how much they advertise it on wizards site, i really dont wanna pay to unlock everything when i already have the books
This has been breached hundreds of times before. WOTC is a separate company than Curse, and as such, they have their own business ventures to account for.
Having purchased physical books will not yield free content here. The developers of D&D Beyond have families too.

I hate--well, dislike--okay, don't particularly enjoy--being the bearer of bad news, but one of the reasons it would need WotC's help is that your books didn't come with unique codes of any sort, so you have no way to prove that you own them.
Any scheme you can come up with to prove ownership, someone else can come up with a way to subvert, trick, or foil. WotC probably won't risk it.
All I can advise you to do is to find/create a petition or a movement or something.

Mathias... That is bullshit... If that was the case then how would they stop peoplevfrom scanning... I mean scanned pdf are already out there. Stopping piracy is a shitty argument because hacking will always be done regardless.
Also... Curse and amazon already both sell the books. It would be easy to use accounts and linking accounts to stop said piracy. Something which steam, nintendo, google, microsoft, blizzard, etc... Already do.
Nah the reasons wotc gives are bullshit to begin with. The real reason is money... They would make less money because youd buy only once. They want you to buy multiple times. That and the cost of books is major... If someone buy say curse beyond books then get the physical copies then wizard is losing much. Doing the inverse would cost curse because wotc would make money but not curse.
Thats the real problem here... If you buy one and get the other free then 1 company isnt gonna make money and will have worked for nothing... Thats the real problem they have.

While I don't disagree with the latter part of your post I have to point out the many people that purchased their books through other retailers. Linking with Amazon would only benefit those that purchased with them.
I think this issue is multilayered with no single reason behind it. It's incredibly important and should be discussed, but I don't think that's the purpose of this thread.
In an effort to steer this thread back on track, I would like to see a digital campaign notebook; just pages of editors, not unlike the one I'm typing in now, that I can plan out adventures, make edits and comments in the text of other books, keep track of a group's progress through a dungeon, etc.

I got another thing I would love to see from D&D Beyond.
The ability for players to add feats where ever instead of only when they are doing ability score increases. I have a whole "Animal Taming" (There are no rangers in our group so that's not really a conflict) with commands that I treat as feats. Along with the fact I reward players with feats from some quests. (Looking though Beyond, I noticed I could accomplish this sorta with items, but its weird because they really are feats).
I read somewhere they are planning on adding this, but it sounded like they planned on just making it so you can reward feats with custom classes, not just the option to reward the player with a new feat whenever.
I gave up on custom classes, it seems they are focused on Races and Archetypes, which I can work with, those would be great additions.
I see this as a work in progress. Unless i missed it, i didn't see anyone saying we won't have custom classes. they just said "Not right now" as they are trying to focus on building a better product and a mobile app to boot (still want Windows though!).
As for the rant's of getting free content here just because you bought the hardcopy is beating a dead horse. It won't happen so lets all just accept that and move on. There are thousands of analogies that can be used to show you why two separate companies that happen to sell products that work together don't give you one for free just because you bought the other.
WOTC = Creator/Owner of content, Publisher (not a store).
Curse/DNDBeyond = Digital content on this platform ONLY
Roll20 = digital content on their platform ONLY. (Do you complain to them also about wanting free content because you bought the Physical book?)
Fantasy Grounds = digital content on their platform ONLY. (Do you complain to them also about wanting free content because you bought the Physical book?)
Walmart/BOM/FLGS/LGS/any other retail store = Retailer where you can buy the Physical Book and has nothing to do with anyone else.
Amazon = Retailer who happens to own Twitch/Curse and sells the physical copies.
Now tell me which of these should not make money so they can't pay employee's or go broke just so you can have the physical and get the digital copy for free? Just because you WANT does not mean you are ENTITLED to something.
Now to get back on track here...
I just want an offline windows app that i can use on my surface. if not, then i would have to go with using an android emulator which would suck, but probably doable. And keep the app free please.

I would LOVE a system where you can create a 1st-level character and maintain an archival version of them throughout all the levels. I like the idea of keeping a version of characters at different levels. My thinking is for those who might like to play a character consistently but in different games/campaigns. So they would have a version ready to go for any level adventure. It could be a "baseline" version for each level.
For example, perhaps you have a particular character you love, and you play in a lot of different one-shots or pickup games with various people. You could simply pull out the 6th-level version of the character if that's what the adventure calls for. If your next game is a 3rd-level adventure, you've got that ready to go. Maybe after that someone is running a 20th-level one shot - no problem you just pull up that version.
Personally I'd love it if there was some way to add all of the Unearthed Arcana that they've made. I think it'd be awesome to play a Mystic or an Artificer. Plus all of the subclass additions. Even if it was just added into homebrew options.
This has probably already been chewed through and thrown out the window, however, what I would really like in D&D Beyond is a way to scan your physical copies of books so you don't have to pay twice for the same information.

see the link in my signature line as to why that won't happen. there just is no way to have a verification process that proves that you purchased and still retain ownership of the physical book.
