How does one get more slots with which to share content?
Simple from is this:
I run 3 streamed games (Sat, Sun, Wed) and I'm slowly branching out to Paid DMing (Currently Friday). I'd like to "Save" one campaign to play at home with my kids and Mrs. Noir. So that eats all of my content sharing. But if I were to add an additional paid campaign (or two or three) I'd have to sneak them in on different days or I'd have to sneak my family into one of the other days. At any rate the 12 player limit starts become a logistical stressor as I'm adding and removing people as various campaigns start, stop and start again.
I recognize the need to create a cap (lest someone do nothing but be "open share guy". But is there a mechanism (or talk of one?) to get up to 7 campaigns for sharing?
Or is my only recourse to watch my numbers and do the player shuffle?
So, pre-pandemic, the limit was 3. It got bumped up to 5 as a temp measure, but it does not seem like that will change any time soon.
The only option you really have is the player shuffle. Depending on player numbers, you could potentially shunt all the non-paid players into one (maybe two?) of your shared content campaigns.
And then run 3-4 paid games that all have their own private campaigns for content sharing.
You can share to I believe 3 campaigns of 12 players each or 36 players total with a Master subscription (it may even still be 5 campaigns due to Covid, unless they have turned the 2 extra off which may be the case). Others may know exactly what it is at this time, but I do not know of any way to add additional campaigns to your share total.
I'd suggest moving this thread over to the "feedback" subforum, as you are talking about enhancing an existing feature and you might get some response by someone with the capacity to comment on its feasibility or at least note the feedback formally.
I don't see DDB bumping the number of slots someone gets in a master tier for content sharing beyond 60. I think if enough of the "pro" scene asks for it, I could see some sort of "D&D Beyond Pro" with increased campaign number. That then asks how much are you willing to pay for increased content sharing capacity?
I also am not sure why you don't consolidate some of your games into campaigns. Average game of 4 players ... you could fit three in one campaign. If all they're accessing is the content you own and your homebrew, it doesn't really matter what campaign they're placed in, does it? I guess you got that mobile at a glance thing (I think) which can sort of snapshot a campaign. But I don't really know if there's a big benefit in having say 20 players distributed over 5 campaigns in DDB as opposed to just storing them all in 2.

For me more campaigns with few players helps me organize who's where. If it was across the board 60 players I'd be in way better organizational shape than I am now. As it stands I can still get by with some player reshuffling and grouping. I can use two campaigns as my stream games and in theory two of my campaigns for paid and then just save one slot for family stuff. But I'm glad for the observations.
Note that the DM doesn’t have to be the one with the master tier. So, for example, another member of your family could get a subscription, and they could turn on content sharing in the family game. (They don’t have to own any content; when content sharing is turned on, all purchased content “owned” by anyone in the campaign is shared). It that family member participates in any of your other games, they could do the same for those campaigns.

Okay wait... I think I remember that.
I own ALL the books (nearly). My teen does not. They create the "family campaign" and "enables" sharing and my books show up on "their" game. The only down side is that now they are the DM on DDB so when it comes to looking through character sheets I won't have the kind of access I usually do but it's also my house so... no big.

The person that enables shared content does not have to be the campaign's DM.
So, I'm in a spot and I'm curious:
