2. Highest Scoring thing: Feats from Backgrounds at Level 1
3. Lowest Scoring thing: Highly Experimental "D20 Test" Rules where 1 is always a fail and 20 is always a success
4. Other low scoring (60% range) things: New Dragonborn and Ardling
5. Next UA has new versions of the Dragonborn and Ardling (Dragonborn specifically getting Breath Weapon changes)
6. Clarification that UA Dragonborn race can be played alongside other existing Dragonborn races, they don't replace anythingUpcoming UA stuff
7. Next UA will include "A new version of the Cleric" (Last UA drop was very large, they're going for smaller installments now, will be followed by the other members of the Priest group, the Druid and Paladin)
8. Warrior group will also include new Weapon options for certain types of characters ("whole new ways to use weapons")
9. New "Home Base" rules, recurring downtime rules, called the "Bastion" system
10. Eldritch Blast has not been removed, but it doesn't exist on any of the new spell lists. More info when the Warlock arrives.
11. Removal of the Thief's access to "Use an Object" with Cunning Action was intentional. It's a mechanic they refer to as a "Mother May I" mechanic, which depends heavily on DM approval or buy-in to function properly, and could be frustrating or unsatisfying, or slow down the game, and create an endless stream of questions regarding specific use cases. This is part of a larger effort to clarify rules. May return with some changes.
12. On GWM/SS changes: The penalty to accuracy was too small, especially at high levels, to justify that large of a damage bonus. They want the Warrior class to rely on their Class Features (new weapon options are mentioned) to increase their damage output. They don't want any one feat to feel mandatory in order to do a significant amount of damage.
13. Some "juicy" stuff coming for Warrior group for dealing damage.
14. From the video description: "The document on December 1st is the third in a series of Unearthed Arcana articles that present material designed for the next version of the Player’s Handbook". Looks like new UA drops tomorrow?

Everything here is in test, the results are still being worked out. Don't go crazy if you see something you don't like cuz it's probably changing again and again as they dial it in based on player feedback.
That being said, these changes actually have me excited for what's coming next.
Im also curious what changes might be coming to the Cleric class since as far as I know it is already widely liked by the community. I imagine we will at least see its subclass levels get restructured.

I imagine many of the changes will have to do with the Divine spell list and how spells are being handled in general.
I’m interested to see what the Warrior group has in store and the new weapon options.
I recommend watching the video when you have the chance. They give some insight into their thoughts on SS and GWM and hint as to how that relates to weapon properties.

Sounds like they might be going the class feature route on it, or something similar, which... meh

Carric Aquissar, elven wannabe artist in his deconstructionist period (Archfey warlock) Lan Kidogo, mapach archaeologist and treasure hunter (Knowledge cleric) Mardan Ferres, elven private investigator obsessed with that one unsolved murder (Assassin rogue) Xhekhetiel, halfling survivor of a Betrayer Gods cult (Runechild sorcerer/fighter)
I wonder if the smaller installments is a way to allow them to publish more frequently. It would make sense, it could allow people to spend more time with each proposed change.
I believe that they've taken longer with this instalment than the previous ones. Certainly, the others came out while the survey was open - we're still waiting on this one. I'm not sure the frequency of the surveys is the issue.

Eldritch Blast is still in the game, just not on a spell list. Some speculated it would be a Warlock feature kind of like the Rangers new Hunters Mark option, when it wasn't on the Arcane list.
Weapons will have other options for certain classes, sounded like for the Warrior group.
I'm interested to know what other rules changes we will see in the glossary next UA. At least it sounds like they are trying to clear things up and they are actually digging into our written comments on the surveys. All the more reason to fill them out and voice our opinions.

Seems like a good change to me if they do it. As it stands it’s basically a cantrip tax if you play a warlock. Class feature allows for more options.
I know people have it stuck in their heads that Warlocks Must Use Eldritch Blast, but they really don't

With the talk about features that require DM buy in, it makes me wonder how they will handle Illusion magic/spells which have been heavily DM dependent.
Also it’s confirmed (unless it was earlier and I missed it) there will now be 48 subclasses (which we knew already) and exactly 4 per each of the 12 classes. Guess all those cleric domains and wizard spell school subclasses are out.
Interesting info over all.

Thanks for the summary:) This is all really interesting information. It has me even more excited to see what the "Warriors" will be like!
BoringBard's long and tedious posts somehow manage to enrapture audiences. How? Because he used Charm Person, the #1 bard spell!

I am extremely excited to see what they are doing with Weapon Properties in the upcoming Warrior UA.

I am curious what other "Mother May I" features are going to get the boot in OneD&D.

And it’ll stop all the feat shenanigans that people pull just to get that cantrip.
